Kathy smiles at me when I come walking down the stairs, half asleep.

“Hey sleepyhead!” Kathy exclaims, I give her a smile, then sit down in a chair and cup my chin in my hand.

“I was literally up all night with back pains. Every way I slept my back just always hurt, I finally just fell asleep from exhaustion at 6 in the morning.” I grumble.

“Welcome to pregnancy life, Infinity.” I groan and smack my head on the counter top.

Something about Kathy that she never talks about is that she no can longer fertilize her eggs or something like that but in other words; Kathy can not get pregnant. Awhile back when my Dad had met Kathy she got pregnant but at 5 months she had a miscarriage. She was devastated but on top of that devastation the doctor told her she can't carry any children. My Dad was hurt because he was looking forward to have more children but it was just not happening. Finally after a couple months after she got the news, she just went on with her life as did my Dad. They told Nate and I they were happy with having just us, so everything was fine. I guess this baby is a miracle baby for all of us.

“But how's the little princess?”

I lift my head and look at Kathy. “Perfectly fine.” I say with a smile. I rest my hand on my pregnancy baby bump. “Though last night I felt weird things in my stomach.”

“Well you are 18 weeks, Infinity it could just be her moving.”

I completely light up. “You think?” Kathy nods.

“16 to 22 weeks is usually when you feel the baby kick. Now you have a doctors appointment in less than an hour, so go get dressed.” I groan but pick myself up and walk right back to my room. “Oh, Infinity! Your dad and I want Colt to come over tonight for dinner!”

My stomach falls.

Once I hear the doorbell go off, I jump off the couch, and practically dodge for the front door before anyone else could. After taking a couple deep breaths, I open the door.

Colt stood there wearing a white Polo shirt, sleeves buttoned up, jeans that didn't hang low, gray Nike's, and a watch on his left wrist. His hair had the messy look to it but somehow it looked very formal on him. Those sparkling blue eyes had extra shine to them tonight. And over all Colt looked tidy and hot.

“Done staring?” Colt whispers, I roll my eyes, but grab his hand. Colt shuts the door behind him and we start walking up the couple stairs to the kitchen but a slap on my butt makes me gasp. “You look pretty hot tonight.” Colt mumbles, his voice low and deep. Oh. My. God.

“You must be Colton! Colton I am Kathy, Infinity's step-mom and that's Steven, her Dad.” Kathy announces as Colt walks ahead of me, leaving me standing there in shock.

“Mr. Faith to you.” My dad sneers. I quickly recover and walk to Colt's side.
