Lockwood Mansion

Mystic Falls, Virginia

Fall 2010

Tyler was incredulous and could not stop laughing, "Wait, man, are you freaking serious? Elena smacked Stefan's ass in front of everyone? I can't believe I missed it!"

Caroline glared at Matt hard, but he did not seem to notice. He continued his story. Tyler had been getting beer at the time and missed the whole Stefan-drenching-Elena fiasco. He had already heard the story at least twice, it was a good one, though.

"Bare! She pulled down his pants in the back and whacked him like he was four. Dude, yeah, he did rip off her top, though. Totally, just by panicking. You could tell he was like freaked, Stefan looked like he was going to pass out. I mean, I've seen it before, Elena's bod, but now the whole school saw it. She was pissed. Like steaming mad. I felt bad for Jeremy, but he was so high, I don't think it hit him," Matt admitted.

Caroline stood up from Tyler's bed, "What? Jeremy is smoking again? Does Elena know?"

Matt's face registered surprise and regret, "Caroline, ah, don't say anything, please!"

"Okay, I won't tell Elena, but I recall Bonnie threatening to turn Jeremy into a slug if he messed with pot again," Caroline fumed. "And another thing, I don't think a bit of this is funny. Tyler, would you laugh if this was me?"

Tyler cleared his throat and stood up from the bed to put his arms around her. "No, babe! Of course not, I would beat his head in. You know that."

Matt tossed Tyler's football at his head unexpectedly, Tyler caught it with his werewolf fast reflexes.

Matt also stood, "That's all we need in this town, more werewolves and vampires killing each other. It sounds like Elena had shit under control. She may be a buck ten, but she is a tough cookie, just like you Caroline. You girls can defend your own honor!"

Caroline pulled away from Tyler and kissed Matt on the cheek. "Thank you, Matthew. I am glad one guy at Mystic Falls High gets that."

"Well, guys, I think you mom is coming. I am heading home. Night. Don't do anything I wouldn't do," Matt smirked as he punched Tyler on the shoulder. He greeted Mayor Lockwood on his way out.

Carol Lockwood peeked in her son's large well appointed bedroom. Although he was a teen, she still demanded that he keep it looking presentable. After all, this mansion was on the Mystic Falls Historic Register of Homes.

"Hey, Mom, how's the council meeting going?" Tyler said politely.

"Ugh, not good, honey. Those Fells think they run this town. Such snobs," Carol frowned. "They said a surprise guest is waiting to give us a presentation in town. I'm the mayor and they didn't even clear this with me first!"

"Is my mom ready to go?" Caroline asked.

"No, dear. We're actually going to need to head over to Town Hall to see what the Fells are brewing. Can you kids fend for yourselves tonight? Order a pizza?" Carol asked hopefully.

"Yeah, of course," Tyler smiled. "We'll keep ourselves busy."

"That's what I'm afraid of. I've asked Mrs. Koslov to stay late and look in on you. She is downstairs polishing all the silver ahead of the charity gala," Carol explained to Caroline.
