Gilbert Residence

That Evening

The ride home was an uncomfortable one for Matt. He blushed hotly every time he thought about Sheriff Forbes spanking him around the pool. Then, what Ric did, that was maybe worse...

"You okay, buddy," Ric asked kindly, glancing at Matt as he drove to the house.

"Yes, sir," Matt said as he shifted in his seat. "But my butt is not."

"Matt, those swats I gave you were for getting in trouble with the Sheriff at school. I am going to have a good talk with you tonight before you go to bed. If you backside is too sore, we can do it before school tomorrow," Ric informed him gently.

Matt knew all this as Ric had already told him, but it was still upsetting.

"But that paddle really stung!" Matt protested.

"Liz Forbes gave you a pretty good warm up and then I paddled you on a wet butt. I know that hurts an awful lot.... And if that was really your first spanking, I guess that would be a lot," Ric admitted.

"It was," Matt said in a small voice. "You know, I hardly remember my dad and my mom was just never around. She's not like she was terrible. I mean, she doesn't believe in authority or people bossing people around."

"Matt, you don't need to defend you mom to me, okay? I am not judging you. I think you are a pretty great kid who made a mistake. Believe me, that is how you learn. But I do believe that when we do something wrong we need to accept the consequences. That's not always easy or pleasant, but there are rewards, too," Ric explained. "Actions have consequences! The consequences can be good, or they can be bad. It's up to you!"

Matt nodded, but drifted off into his own thoughts. He thought back to after the Sheriff had giving Matt his first spanking over those wet shorts. He thought nothing could sting worse. Matt was wrong.

Ric had marched him into the pool director's office. When he and Bonnie had taken the life guard class, they had been in here. Matt never imagined that he would get paddled in the small, but familiar space. Ric looked frustrated.

Matt was crying, "I am sorry, Ric. It was so stupid. I didn't think..."

"What, Matt? That you would get caught?" Ric asked firmly. "I know you are a lifeguard but all it takes is one person to have an accident and...You guys were drinking, too, huh?"

"Yes, sir," Matt said softly. He looked down and tried to wipe away the tears leaking from his eyes.

"Buddy, look at me. Underage drinking could cause you to lose your license. How would you get to work? You can't afford to be screwing around like this," Ric said carefully.

"Ty brought the beer. I didn't think anything of it," Matt admitted.

"Matt, that kid lives in a mansion. His mom is the mayor. He gets in trouble, he gets a big lawyer to get him out of it. You don't have that luxury. But from now on, I am going to take care of you," Ric said holding Matt in front of him. Matt rubbed the back of his wet pants. Ric led Matt behind the desk to the chair there. Ric grabbed a towel off a stack and put it over his lap.

"Take down those wet swim trunks, and get over my knee," Ric ordered.

"No, Ric. Please don't give me a paddling! Can't you just spank me with your hand?" Matt whined.
