"I wonder if this is how people always get close: They heal each other's wounds; they repair the broken skin."

Mystic Falls High School
Bonnie caught Stefan after fifth hour toward the end of the day.
"Hey, your mom called and left a message on my voicemail. They found that Julian guy. She asked me to go over and do the spell after school," Bonnie informed him.
Stefan was pleased for his mother, "Ah, that's great. You want me to go with?"
Bonnie nodded, "Yeah, I do. I know she's your mom and all but..."
Stefan looked pained, "....You don't trust her. Well, either does Damon. It's okay, Bon. I'll go with you. Want to drive me?"
Bonnie smiled, "Sure thing. Meet me at Elena's locker like usual."
"Yeah. And thanks, Bonnie," Stefan said as they parted.
Kol playfully took his binder and hit Stefan on the back of the head, "Messing up your perfect hairdo!"
"Kol, knock it off," Stefan demanded laughing. "Hey, tell everyone that I'm going to help Bonnie do something for my mom right after school, okay?"
Kol cringed, "I don't know, mate. You best ask my big brothers. They don't like to be told what 'children' are going to do. Even if said children are like 1000 years old."
Stefan nodded, "You are right. I guess I was lucky as Damon was pretty cool with letting me run away where I wanted most nights. I'll call right after school. Hey, what's going on with you anyway? You seem nervous about something? You and Estel have been whispering a lot. Are you running away to elope?"
Kol laughed loudly, as few other students looked. He hollered, "What are you lot looking at? Bugger off!"
Stefan elbowed him, "Chill, man. Tell me later, we'll going to be tardy." Stefan jogged off to class right as the bell rang.
Kol looked an hundred yards down the long science wing and saw that Dr. Flatner had shut the door to chemistry. That meant you had to go to the office to get a tardy slip. Kol cursed himself, this was another detention. He wondered if Ric would write him a pass. He headed toward the social studies wing, but when he got there, he saw there was a substitute.
"Blast it," Kol cursed again. He heard heavy breathing behind him and the scent of cheap cigars.
"Principal Mohinder, I presume, " Kol blurted out.
"Mr. Mikaelson, I see you are skipping class again!" Principal Mohinder growled.
"No, I....I was trying to...Sorry, sir, I just didn't want to get a detention," Kol admitted honestly. "I was late again for chem."
"Let's go down to my office. I'm sure your brothers would like a phone call to hear how you have been spending your time at school," the middle-aged man intoned.
"No, please don't call them! I'll get grounded again," Kol whined. "I'll do anything. Wash your car! Polish your desk. Buy you a new hair piece..."
"What did you say?" the Principal snapped. "That's it. I've heard you were a smart-mouthed, disrespectful punk, but this takes the cake. Maybe a suspension will teach you some respect?"
"No," Kol begged, "Can you just give me the cane? I'm sorry, sir. Really, I didn't mean to be impertinent."
"Come on, Kol, don't make it worse," Principal Mohinder said with a touch less of anger.
