Chapter Text

"When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale."

-Book of Revelation 6: 12-13

Mikaelson Estate

Klaus' Bedroom

Klaus was towel drying his hair when he noticed blue on the white towel.

"What in the hell?" Klaus muttered. He ducked down to look in the mirror over his dresser. His hair was...blue!

"Kol Mikaelson, I am going to....," Klaus thundered, as he stomped out of his bedroom wrapped only in his towel. Finn came out of his room.

"Brother, what ails thee? Oh my!" Finn said, suppressing a laugh. "Your hair is..."

"Is this amusing to you, Finn? Well, I know who will not find it amusing when I thrash the very devil out of them!" Klaus shouted.

"Wait! How do you know who did this?" Finn said as he wiped the smile off his face with his hand.

"It's Kol! Who the hell else would do this?" Klaus roared.

Finn gave Klaus a hard look, "You best speak to Elijah."

"Like this?" Klaus said. "I am taking another shower. Bloody hell. Maybe this shite will wash out? But I bloody doubt it."

"Niklaus, please. Control yourself," Finn cautioned. "The children are still sleeping."

"Children, my arse. Little monsters is what they are....," Klaus spat as he walked back in his room and slammed the door. Finn went to find Elijah. It was 6:40 am.

Kitchen

Elijah was frying eggs and making school lunches when Finn found him and filled him in.

"Blue, you say?" Elijah said, trying to be serious.

"As a robin's egg," Finn said finally bursting out into peals of laughter.

"Stop! He's coming," Elijah said turning back to his eggs.

"Well? Did you find the culprit? I want them soundly lashed, Elijah. We are being too soft on these miscreants," Klaus said as he adjusted his hat. Klaus was wearing a black fedora, but the blue hair could still be seen under it.

Elijah turned and saw his younger brother and guffawed, "Oh Niklaus, a fedora? For the love of God, let me see!"

"It is not funny," Klaus growled, taking off the hat. The blue was lighter, but not much.

Finn nodded, "It is better. Much better than before. One day, two days, all gone."

Klaus' eyes narrowed, "We ought to line them all up.. and if they don't confess, they all get a proper hiding!"

"Like when you broke Mother's clay pot and wouldn't fess up?" Elijah prompted. "I think she thought we were covering for each other."

"I didn't know she would take the spoon to everyone, well, me, you, and Finn! I guess the others were too little. You know I was afraid of Father," Klaus defended.
