Night of Party

Elijah watched Niklaus turned into a wolf and flee. In his rage, before he tore the heart out of the witch she whispered in a stammer, "She's not ...d-dead." He regretted as soon as he did it, but it was too late. He threw the body into the quarry.

Nadia was trying to crawl away, by then, he had calmed and got some of the story out of her. Though it didn't make much sense.

"So Greta put my brother up to this? Why?" Elijah asked the trembling vampire.

"I don't know. I just did what my mother told me," Nadia wept.

"And Katerina is your mother?" Elijah guessed.

Elijah picked up an unconscious Elena and put her in the back of his blue Porsche Panamera . He told Nadia to get in the passenger seat. He put the bodies of Katerina and the wolf in the trunk. Elijah threw everything else in the quarry. There was a delivery truck of some sort, that had the body of a driver in it.

Elijah drove back to the estate in a fugue state. "She's not dead." Who? Katerina?

Elena woke up and moaned, "Where am I?"

"Elena? It's Elijah, remember we met tonight. Try to rest. We shall explain everything later," Elijah said softly. "Nadia, I am going to take you to my house until we straighten all this out."

She nodded and looked out the window. He assumed she was in shock, too. Elijah missed the glance she gave "Elena" and when "Elena" winked at her and feigned sleep again.

Mikaelson Mansion

Two Days Later

Tuesday

The next two days were tense. The other Originals scoured the woods by Steven's Quarry looking for Klaus. They didn't find him. The kids went to school and Elijah and Finn talked to Nadia and Damon.

Damon couldn't believe that Katherine was really gone this time. He didn't know how he felt, he hated Katherine for leaving him, for loving Stefan, and for being Katherine....But he had also loved her at one point, or thought he did. He felt sorry for her daughter, Nadia, who seemed like a broken shell. They buried Katherine in the Salvatore family mausoleum.

They burned the wolf in a pyre as wolves tended to prefer. Tyler and Mason came over to identify the body. Mason was upset as he had introduced Jules to his "Kathy" before he realized she only wanted the moonstone.

Elena went home. She said she thought Klaus drained a lot of her blood because she was woozy. They had her recline on the couch and drink orange juice and made sure she ate enough for a day or so. Oddly, eat she did. It seemed like the more she ate, the more she wanted. Jenna started to worry that she was the pregnant one.

Then, Klaus came home in the middle of the day, in someone else's clothes.

Finn was the first to greet him. Klaus grasped his arms, "Brothers, I am home. Alas, the curse is broken."

Elijah looked at him coldly, "You always get what you what, don't you, Niklaus? You are truly the hybrid now that everyone feared you would become."

"Elijah? I didn't want this. Not anymore. Katherine told me it was either her or Elena. The witch threatened to kill all of them, including Katherine's daughter. I had no choice. Where is she? The witch Greta...did you actually tear her heart out?" Klaus said heading towards the kitchen. He needed water and blood.
