P’wede mong i-cancel ‘yon! Hindi naman ako ‘sing special ni Kylo para tanggihan, gagang ‘to..” she even pointed my face.

“Sabi mo nga di’ ba.. parehas kaming introvert, kaya malamang magkakahiyaan kami.” I reasoned out before sipping on my boba tea.

“Shut up,” i rolled my eyes. “hindi dapat ‘to pinagpupustahan, Dana. Hindi laro ‘to, anong akala mo nag-papatentero lang tayo rito? Of course not! For heaven’s sake, hindi dapat minamadali ‘to, para kang batang nakikipagtagu-taguan.”

She went silent.

“I’m just helping...”

“You’re not,” i sighed. “things like dating is not a damn game, you need to know that. I’m cutting the dare, what’s the consequences?”

She looks like a damn puppy, scolded by her parent.

“Your books,” she smirked, wiggling her brows. “The new ones.”

“Damn..” this is so problematic. “Not my books, Dana.”

“Then date Kylo.” She shrugged her shoulders off and drank in her coffee cup.

“Putang ina mo.” I rolled my eyes while she laughed really hard.

I had no choice but to go home and prepare for that damn date just for my books to be keep safe on my shelves.

I reached our house in unusual silence. Usually, Mom will always turn her radio on and will sing until the sun sets. But today is kind of different. I shrugged it off, maybe she’s just tired.

I went straight to my room and inside my walk-in closet to find something to wear. I picked the rose gold maxi dress, it was sleeveless and over flowing. I reached above my ankle. I loved how flowy it is. I also like this kind of dress, mahaba. Ayaw ko ng maiiksi.

I let my hair down and its naturally wavy strands.

When I looked at my reflection on the mirror, I thought about how this date will go? I sighed. Just for once.

I sat on the leather couch and reached for my phone inside the duffel bag that I brought earlier sa gym. Dana saved Kylo’s number on my contacts. She said Red had Kylo’s number since they’re acquaintance.

I once doubt before dialling Kylo’s number. I don’t know how many breathe did I took while waiting for him to pink up his phone. It’s ringing but no one’s answering.

I dropped the first call and dial it again. Again, it’s just ringing. I waited for a few seconds until he finally picked up. Napaayos ako ng upo, I almost stood up. But I remained calm, really Sy? Calm?

“Who’s this?” he asked over the phone.

Gosh, his voice is more defined and deep over the phone. I pinched my thighs.
