"It's going to be hard to be in contact with you again," Finley whispered in Remus' ear as she hugged him tightly, knowing well that after the night, he was going back to who knows what Dumbledore asked him to do."The wand message charm will work just fine, moonshine," he tells her, kissing her on the crown of her head.
"Are you sure you don't want me to cook you up some wolfsbane? I can make a quick one for you," she suggested, seeing how painful it was that he looked more tired and old than he should be. Feeling a hand on her shoulder, she turns to Tonks who gave her a polite smile.
"The batch you made him last time is working wonders, he just drank his last one for the moon tonight," the older woman informs the girl, knowing how worried the latter was for her godfather. Somewhat giving Finley peace of mind that Remus wouldn't be as much pain as he would without the potion, giving the old man one last hug, muttering 'I miss you's and 'stay safe and what not, she lets him go to give Tonks the same thing.
"Please take care of him," she tells Tonks, "He would go all around helping others, he forgets to take care of himself," she adds. The older woman was surprised at the sentiment the girl held, turning to Remus who was speaking to the Weasley couple. Witnessing how in love Tonks was with Remus, Finley was left relieved for her godfather.
"That's why I love him," she heard Tonks say, as she saw the woman give her a smile that assured Finley how genuine Tonks was. Remus was lucky to have Tonks, and Tonks was lucky to have Remus. Eventually having the last goodbye to the pair as Mrs. Weasley asked her to go upstairs to rest.
Walking up the stairs as cautiously as possible, pursing her lips as she had a bad feeling about tonight. She sees Harry on the stairs looking down at Remus and Tonks who was going to leave for the night.
"I'm going to miss him you know," she tells Harry, there's this wall of awkwardness in the middle of them, they both shared the sorrow of not being able to see Remus for a while. And Finley knows that she placed that wall there, on purpose too.
"We both will," Harry replied, with that she leaves him, walking up the steps to Ginny's room, with Ginny's bed empty while on the small foam mattress laid Hermione who was fast asleep. Glancing at the nook that she was going to sleep on, her cat, her beautiful tri-colored cat, sat tall as he looked at the stars.
"Enjoying yourself?" She asks her cat, sitting down on her makeshift bed, stroking her cat's head, hearing him purr. "This might be the last time that we'll see each other," she tells him.
She had that thought pop up in her head, a disturbing thought, but not at all alarming in her case. She's conquered death once, she can conquer it for two more times before permanently dying, and frankly, she would like the last one to be of natural causes. But that seems to be too fairytale-ish considering her circumstances.
"I wonder how my boys are doing?" She thought out loud, it had been a couple of days since she last saw any of her Slytherin boys. She wasn't sure what was going on in their lives anymore, with Theo constantly with Draco, Blaise always around the castle somewhere while she tries her best to not go completely off her rails. It was starting to make clear, they were changing, not in the way they thought they would.
If you told the first year Finley that this was going to her life, she wouldn't have believed you, she might even bombarda you to the first age of man. Before, she thought of graduating Hogwarts, maybe working as a mediwitch before taking a position at Hogwarts as the new Potions master, taking over Snape's title. Now?
"Finley?" Finley's gaze snapped towards the voice's source, it was Hermione, rubbing her eye to get sleep off it.
"Yes?"
