It was a mistake to trust Nicholas. It was a mistake to have him help her brew the Felix felicis, and it was indeed an undeniable mistake to go and show him 'where' she was going to brew it under the school's nose.

"I think I pissed myself."

"Can you quiet down while you're at it then?" Finley scowled at Nicholas who stood frozen by the large doors of the black lake's ruins. Seeing there was no chance that she could brew liquid luck without ghosts coming in and asking for their whereabouts, fortunately for them the runespoor that lived in the ruins minded their own business and could only communicate with her.

"I've been in Hogwarts for years, how come there's a runespoor in here?" She hears Nicholas panic behind her, she could tell that he was terrified of the three-headed snake but what else could she do?

"When you're done being a big baby, come and help me brew this potion," she suggests to him, knowing that it was the only way that he could get his mind off the large snake's watchful eye.

"Aren't you the least bit terrified with that... thing?"

'This child is rude!'

'But he is also terrified'

'Shall we devour him?'

"No you cannot devour him," Finley glared at the three-headed snake, "at least not yet," she adds only to hear a gasp from Nicholas who ran behind her making sure to face the snake rather than have his back on it.

"Surely you won't let them eat me," he nervously asked, "right?"

"If you don't help me now, that might be a good scene to watch," mindlessly reassured as she started to prepare the ingredients from the box. Thank goodness for the undetectable extension charm she was able to haul over her cauldron and an ever-burning flame she made in one of the spells 'found' in the restricted section. Though it was a bitch to create, almost got her hair burned off in the process.

"Can they understand me?" He whispers to her as tries to multi-task between reading the notes Finley had made and being wary with the snake. "I mean, they did say that they were going to... eat me."

Finley huffed, glancing at the runespoor before turning to Nicholas in a knowing stare, not saying a single word she goes back to what she had been doing.

"Could you um, tell me what they're saying?"

"Now why would I?" Finley asks not too bothered with Nicholas' jittering.

"I don't know, for my safety maybe?"

"They're not going to eat you," she tells him, setting the ever-burning flame under her golden cauldron. "They're more interested in French Toast Crunch and Cinnamon Mini Buns."

'They are delicious!' The right head tried to argue as its head lowered to her side startling Nicholas who jumped back.

"Yes well the last time I graciously bought you a raw wagyu beef you asked me if I was a savage who couldn't cook meat," she argued back, remembering that one time in the summer she indeed went to a store and bought a lump of expensive meat only for it to be spat out.
