"Now what?" Harry asks as he lets go of Buckbeak's chain, Finley closely behind as she stroked the thing's head while feeding it a ferret.
"We save Sirius," Hermione says.
"Now?"
"No idea."
A great exchange really, Finley lets go of the hippogriff and followed Harry and Hermione up a slope running towards a familiar tree. "Look it's Lupin!"
"Why is one part of the tree burned?" Harry asked confused, snapping towards Finley who merely whistled innocently.
"Did you?"
"How else was I suppose to get down?" Finley sighed as she watches the Professor perform a spell. "Immobulous."
"Okay that's one way," Finley huffed as she watched the professor go in the hole. Until the three of them spotted a familiar black robed Professor, who looked disgruntled. "Snape's coming too."
"Crikey, he certainly had it in for our dad's friends," Finley remarked, as she felt Harry's arm sling over her shoulder keeping her from walking forward.
"Now we wait," Harry says, pulling both girls down on the forest floor to rest.
"And now we wait," Hermione confirms, slumping on the tree trunk, while Finley slumps beside Harry, placing her head on his shoulder to rest on.
"You know, if you told me in first year that I was going to find out that I had a sibling, I would've believed you," Harry spoke looking up towards the darkening sky. Finley grins, in truth she would believe that too if she were told that in first year. But she was too occupied with many things such as pleasing her head of house and maybe get a bit of validation from him.
"Hogwarts didn't put 'We connect long lost siblings' in their advertising," Finley remarked as she heard Hermione and Harry laugh at her joke.
"It's nice to know that I'm not alone," Finley heard Harry say.
"You're never alone Harry, you have Ron and Hermione as I have Blaise and Theo," Finley replied and pausing as she remembered how she treated her friends for two weeks. Constantly avoiding them, even going through lengths such as moving seats in classes. It was terrible of her.
"They'll forgive you Finley," Hermione spoke, holding onto Finley's hand.
"How? I treated them like they weren't part of my life—"
"They will," Harry says. "As much as I don't like Slytherins, your friends are good enough to protect you in ways that I couldn't."
"They're the brothers you deserve, I'm just a brother that you have," Harry continued, remembering all the selfish things he did last year to Finley during the Chamber of secrets. They were with Finley while she was petrified and he wasn't, and frankly he didn't feel worthy to be called Finley's brother.
"Either way, you're my brother, I'll always love you," Finley gave him a small smile.
Maybe this sibling things wasn't going to start on rocky terms after all.
The sky started to grow darker and darker, bats started flying in, and for some reason, Finley found herself dozed off on Harry's shoulder due to them running around saving one life after the other.
"Hermione," Harry mentions as he allows Finley's sleeping head on his chest while he leaned on the tree trunk.
"Yeah?"
"Before, down by the lake, when I was with Sirius. I did see someone." He paused as he now felt Finley start to wake up.
"That someone made the dementors go away."
