"Bloody hell," Ron groans as he looks at himself in the mirror, from his bonnet to his robes, he looks at himself in disdain. Horrified that the dress robes looked like someone from his great aunt's closet, he was already upset that he had to go with one of the Patil girls. But the dress robes placed the cherry on it, he looked ghastly as hell.
The dorm room opens and the red head looks up at the reflection to see Harry in his set of dress robes and gasped. "What are those?" He asked, eyes wide at his best friend who was holding his toothbrush staring at him.
"My dress robes," Harry replies a little shaken at how disgruntled Ron's tone was, looking at himself as if he was accused of hiding something. He didn't have them in the first place, he was thankful that his sister had the idea of buying it for him before he forgot. "Finley bought it for me," Harry gulped as he watched Ron looked at him before clutching slightly on the tattered ruffles of his robes.
"Well they're alright," Ron pointed out. "No lace, no dodgy little collar," he says before looking down at the awful shade of purple of the robes he was wearing.
Harry looked up and down, trying to find something good to compliment his best friend with, "Well, I expect yours are more traditional."
"Traditional?" Ron exclaimed, looking down at his ugly robes again. "They're ancient!"
"I look like my great aunt Tessie!" He says, pausing as he raised his arm to smell the garment and cringed. "Smell like my great aunt Tessie," her groans. Turning towards the mirror again, he looked like trash as he stood next to Harry who looked alright in his dress robes.
"Murder me, Harry," he says. Harry only giving his best friend a pat on the shoulder comfortingly, there wasn't much that thy could do now. The ball was going on down stairs and it was sure that the Patil twins were down stairs waiting for them.
"C'mon, you look great. We should get a move on," Harry comforts before grabbing his best friend's robe and pulling him out their dorm. Hopefully the ball would get better for his best friend.
Sebastian in his dashing Durmstrang dress robes, waited down the grand staircase for his date, after all he did say he was going to meet her there. He wasn't nervous for the night, he was excited actually. His cousin wasn't really helpful at giving him an idea of what she was going to wear, she almost killed him when he couldn't stop pestering her. That was why he placed it in his mindset that great things come to those who wait.
'But even greater things come to those who act on what they desire.'
His eyes went to the side of the hall where he could see a familiar platinum blond boy who didn't look thrilled at all beside a pug faced girl, who for once looked human as she wore a lime green dress that didn't look scandalous as he thought she would wear.
Both of them have met eyes, Sebastian smirking at Draco who only glared at him. After the stunt he pulled, he almost went up and hurt the bloke himself. But he also knew that he hasn't won Finley, he may be doing a terrible job at keeping her, but even Sebastian wasn't stupid to see that the girl still had feelings for him, even if he was being an idiot.
"Leave it alone!" Sebastian heard from the grand staircase, he looked up and almost choked on his own spit. There he saw Harry who looked alright, and Ron who looked like he just came up from the grave.
"You look—pft," Sebastian snorted as soon as the boys approached him. Ron glared at him, punching Sebastian on the shoulder wincing. How can a scrawny looking guy like him hurt his fist like that?
"You look like a billion galleons," Sebastian spoke, finally getting a grip, able to say a compliment without laughing. Well almost gotten a grip, because as soon as he said that to Ron he started laughing again, this time wheezing, only air came out of his mouth with all the laughing that he was doing.
