The moment she was let out of the hospital wing, she arrived in the common room with her two best friends pacing like idiots by the fire. Cassian eyeing her two friends in a bored expression, they failed to see her arrive. The other Slytherins said their hellos, others gave her a hug, Draco Malfoy even gave her a congratulations on getting out the hospital wing before the end of the year feast. She leaned on the back of the couch, she scratched the back of Cassian's ears as he purred in her touch.
"Should we skip dinner?" Blaise began.
"We could but then Snape would be suspicious, plus I heard we were going to have pudding," Theo argued as he kept pacing. Blaise stopped pacing with a scandalised look on his face.
"Can you not think about food when our best friend is still in the hospital wing!" He yelled.
"Why are you yelling at me!"
"Because you're annoying!"
Finley laughed at how lost her friends are without her, "Oh just kiss already why don't you," she barked in a laugh causing the males to snap their gazes towards her.
"Finley?" They chorused.
"Honestly, When they said that you were lost without me, I thought you weren't speaking."
"But—"
"Come to find out that you're ready to bust me out the hospital wing, thats so sweet of you two," she teased. Unexpectedly engulfed in a tight hug, thankfully she had her grip on the couch before the three of them tumbled down on the floor.
"How could you leave in the middle of the bloody night to hang out with Gryffindors, and then we find out in the morning that you're in the hospital wing! Don't you have compassion for this flawless face!" Blaise screamed at her.
Theo shook his head in disappointment, both were upset that she went out, WITHOUT bringing them along. She was guilty that she made her friends worry for her yet again, she loved her friends and it was physically impossible to resist them.
"Did you see the flowers?" Theo asked as the scolding finally came to a halt and now they were helping Finley pack everything before they leave to go back home that night.
"I did," Finley said as she folded her clothes properly before placing it inside her trunk.
"And the candies?" Blaise added as he used his wand to place her other belongings in her trunk.
"Too much sweets to last me the train ride to London," she winked as she finally went to her desk to clear it out.
"You will owl us, right?"
"Idiot that's not a question, it's a demand!"
She laughed, of course she would owl them. She would always go and find every bit of ways to owl them, she loved how they would write to her every other day. "Of course I would," she winked. Turning back to her desk she noticed a small box, it was the Christmas present that she forgotten. She took it in her hands and sat on her bed, both boys went near her.
"Who's that from?"
"Twelve years old and you now have someone proposing to you," Blaise said in an amused tone, she hasn't opened the small box just yet. Her friends urge her to do so, until she did open it, and she along with her best friends sat there star struck.
It was indeed a ring, a beautiful one at that, it was silver and a smokey black gem, the details that held the gem was a three headed snake. "This is—"
"Beautiful," her eyes twinkled. She didn't try to wear it yet, it was big on her petite finger.
"Whoever this is from knows his gems," Theo commented as he saw Finley's smile went from ear to ear.
