During the train ride Finley tried to convince her two best friends to let her go find her Gryffindors. Even with a large debate, she was having difficult time to convince them that she was going to say her final farewells as she was going back to Cokeworth for the first week of summer with Mirelle Thorns, before staying with the Zabinis for the remainder as a promise from Missus Zabini.
"We want to come with you," Blaise said as he placed her trunk up the compartments. The three of them claimed one whole compartment together as an assurance that they would hog all of Finley's time to answer questions.
"But Blasie—"
"Finney Winney, we love you. But every time you're with those lions, you're always found in the hospital wing," Theo said.
Finley pouted. "I will be back, They're just a few compartments away," she bargained. She clasped both her hands together and pouted bearing her eyes towards them. She was irresistible at this state and the boys remained strong, they needed to put their foot down.
"Fine! But you will buy us trolley goods when you get back, you have ten minutes," Blaise gave in with a groan. Theo managed to smack the back of his head. Both were too soft to her, and putting that foot down can happen next time.
"I love you both!" Finley cheered kissing her two friends on the cheeks as she shoved her cat's cage towards Theo before running out the compartment.
As she left Theo glared at Blaise again, "You bet your ass that those trolley treats are a lot."
Finley ran towards a few train cars, saying hello to some people she came acquainted with. She found the people she wanted to see that she bursted in with a wide grin on her face. "Harry!" She shrieked in delight, launching herself towards Harry who looked at her in surprise.
"Finley!" He exclaimed as he caught her in his arms.
"You kept your promise! Thank you!" She said as she hugged the boy tightly.
"You shouldn't thank me Finley, if it weren't for me hiding things from you, you wouldn't be petrified."
"Nonsense! I would've been petrified either way," she said.
"No thanks from me? It was my wand that got Lockhart fired," Ron grumbled tucking his hands into his pocket to retrieve his now snapped wand.
"You what?!"
And the story went on how the blood written notes were made on the walls, on how Ginny Weasley was possessed by Tom Riddle who was Voldemort, how Harry pulled out the sword from the sorting hat. And finally how Gilderoy Lockhart's obliviating spell back fired at him as he used Ron's broken wand.
"Serves that fraud right!" Finley laughed.
"I think it's harsh that he forgot who he was, but you're right, serves him right," Hermione said arms crossed with a smug grin on her lips.
"Thanks for Hexing him for me Ronniekins," Finley cooed as she pinched Ron's cheek that was frowning after nit giving him enough credit.
"Well we had a wake up call when your friends stunned Harry," Ron said causing Harry to freeze. He purposely left that detail out from Finley and of course Ron was oblivious to this.
"They what?" Finley asked wide eyes, clearly shocked and pissed.
"Well—" the compartment door slammed open.
"You've been in here for twenty minutes, didn't I tell you that I only gave you ten—"
Blaise froze as he saw the stink eye Finley was giving him and Theo who was behind hind cradling arms full of candy.
"You hexed them Zabini?" She asked them in a playful yet chilling tone.
"Uhh—"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Well—"
She stood up from beside Ron and Hermione, waving goodbye with a small smile on her face, with a promise to say see them at the platforms before closing the compartment door.
As soon as she closed the Lion's compartment door, she tugged both her friends' ears.
"Why didn't you tell me that you stunned Harry? Are you out of you minds!" She scolded dragging both boys by the ear back to their compartment.
"Slip of mind?"
"Slip of mind my bloody ass!" She yelled at them once they were inside the confines of their compartment.
The rest of the train ride back to London was excruciating for both Slytherin boys, and they were in for the most painful punishment if they didn't apologise.
"Sage Finley Evans! Explain to me why you got yourself in bigger trouble than last year!" Mirelle Thorns scolded the young girl who just said her last farewells to her lion friends after having her best friends apologies to them.
"I didn't mean to," she looked down on her shoes.
"I will speak to Severus about transferring you to France," Mirelle grumbled looking upset as she was not around when something happened to her again.
"But Ms Thorns—"
"I can and I will, and once Severus agrees with me you are coming to France with me," the older woman said.
"I don't want to leave my friends, please Ms Thorns," she pleaded.
Sighing Mirelle hugged the young girl, she will only suggest to Severus but she knows she will change her mind soon. She could never take away this girls happiness even if she tried.
"We'll talk when we get home, yes?"
The girl nodded, her trunks and Cassian's cage on the trolley they walked towards the exiting platform but not before saying pleasantries towards Missus Zabini.
"I'll be seeing you next week Finney dear yes?" Missus Zabini cooed at the young girl who merely nodded.
"I'll personally bring her to your Manor Missus Zabini," Mirelle assured. Sharing kisses on the cheek and one final hug towards Blaise, the two women went back to Cokeworth.
The ride back to Cokeworth was long, Finley explained what happened and persuaded Mirelle into changing schools. She didn't want to be apart from her friends, she didn't want that at all.
As soon as they arrived in Cokeworth, her trunks were immediately unpacked. Cassian roamed free in the house and Dewy the house elf fixed dinner for the two women.
"Please don't make me change school Ms Thorns," she pleaded again.
"Darling, I can't let you get hurt. Last year was scary enough but this year was too much, you could've died."
"But I didn't."
Messaging her temples she sighed at the girl's persistence. "Minou, even if I wanted you to change schools it's up to Severus. And even if I don't suggest it, after this year, I'm sure that he's already considering your transfer."
And that was it. It all came down to Severus to decide for her, she could only hope that he wasn't thinking about sending her away.
