CAITLYN GRUNTED as she struggled to break free from the chains binding her to a beam, her vision shielded by the bag over her head.
The three women had been captured by the Firelights rather than killed by them, oddly enough. As of now, they were all sitting in a room with bags over their heads, their wrists tied to prevent an escape.
North still had the metallic taste of her own blood in her mouth from the fight that brought her there.
"I knew it was a mistake trusting you." Caitlyn spat at Vi.
"You've been a real picnic yourself." Vi argued back sarcastically.
"I'm not the one who walked us into, not one, but two of Silco's traps." Caitlyn blamed her.
"This isn't Silco, it's someone else." Vi claimed.
"How do you know?" Caitlyn asked.
"'Cause we'd already be dead." Vi said.
"Oh, very nice." Caitlyn scoffed mockingly. "When were you planning to tell us that you're lunatic sister worked for him?" She angrily asked, reffering to both her and North.
"Just as soon as you came clean about what the hell you're really doing down here." Vi retorted.
"I told you the truth." Caitlyn shouted.
"Bullshit. What was that glowing stone?" Vi asked, causing Caitlyn to sigh. "That's what I thought."
"Vi--" Caitlyn began to say.
"Be quiet." North demanded.
"Wh-- me?" Caitlyn asked as Vi scoffed.
"Both of you." North lowly muttered, letting out a heavy breath.
Suddenly, the sound of metal creaking caught all three of the girls' attention, and they all turned their heads toward the direction of the sound.
"What's going on?" Caitlyn asked frantically.
"Hey, stop! Get your hands off of me!" Vi yelled.
"Leave her alone!" Caitlyn demanded.
"Vi?" North exclaimed when suddenly, someone unhooked her from the wall and grabbed up, lifting her up from the floor.
North grunted as she was roughly pulled toward the door of the room.
"North? Hey, don't-- hey!" Vi shouted.
"North?" Caitlyn called out when suddenly, the door slammed shut. "North! Vi!"
. . . . .
Vi and North were sat down in another room and tied to a pole. Then, someone removed the bags from their heads, allowing them to see again.
