NORTH SIGHED OUT as she walked the streets of the Lanes. "Stupid... stupid, reckless girl. Unbelievable."

Did she know where she was going? Not exactly. Although she was just wandering, she knew better than to go waltzing around Zaun alone over blowing up during an argument.

Instead, she decided to walk around the bar and roam the surrounding buildings that were nearby.

She eventually ended up climbing onto the rooftop of a building beside the bar, using the drain pipes attached to the wall.

North grunted as she pulled herself up to the top of the building, then she took a seat down on the floor.

With nothing better to do, she took her journal and pen out of her bag and flipped to an empty page. She started to write on the right page, with the left page already taken up.

North had cut one of her prom photos off its strip and taped it to an empty page in her book. She had also drawn a few little hearts around the photo as well as writing small notes like 'PROM NIGHT!' and 'me + Vi'.

She was so frustrated.

'Vi... always throwing herself into danger wherever she can find it.'

Of course, North knew that in a place like Zaun, it wasn't easy to avoid danger. But Vi could be so dismissive sometimes. It wasn't just that one time. It was so many times prior too.

So many times, she'd show up to North's room with bruises and scratches, some deep enough to the point where North would have to stitch her up because Vi didn't do so before showing up to her place.

And every time, Vi would always say it was 'nothing' or that she was 'fine'. She'd talk about her encounters proudly, but North could never bring herself to encourage Vi's behavior.

She only wished Vi would think more before engaging in fights with strangers on the streets. Especially since one never knows what a stranger is capable of.

This didn't mean that North underestimated Vi. She knew that she was fully capable of handling herself. Clearly, that didn't mean she was immune to getting hurt.

No matter how many times Vi came back safe, North couldn't help but worry that one day, she wouldn't. Vi got into so many fights so very often, so how could she not worry?

But this was beyond that. Being wanted for robbery? That didn't just worry her. It scared her.

All she wanted was for Vi to actually listen to her instead of playing things off and getting into constant trouble over and over again.
