THAT NIGHT, North and Vi had stayed up for quite a few hours, doing nothing more than chatting, eating, listening to music, and playing games as usual.

When they had finally went to sleep, North gave Vi a pair of pajamas, and they shared North's king-sized bed per North's suggestion.

Vi had never slept as comfortably as she had that night.

North remembered how Vi was quick to get comfortable on her bed after the first few seconds of her laying down despite her initial reluctance. She found it amusing.

As she started to fall asleep, North's mind began to form curious thoughts concerning Caitlyn's joking words to her about her and Vi being together when she had discussed their relationship.

Relationship?

Friendship?

North wasn't sure what to label her and Vi. She knew they were friends, but was that all? Was she beginning to like her as more than that?

At that point, what were they? North had to wonder. What did she want her and Vi to be? Girlfriends? Or just girls that are friends?

Hell, North didn't know what it was like to be a girlfriend. She never had one before. She didn't even know if she'd be a good girlfriend.

She didn't even fully know if she wanted to be Vi's girlfriend. The idea of her and Vi becoming a couple, her being Vi's and Vi being hers... ideas like that hadn't crossed North's mind until recently, and that had her considering.

She cared about Vi. She felt something strong for Vi, but was it love? These feelings, North was still trying to understand herself. Thus, she couldn't really act on them.

To think of being Vi's girlfriend... doing things like holding hands, kissing, touching like lovers do... North didn't hate the thought of doing those things with Vi.

But until she had her feelings for her completely figured out, she was okay with what they had already. Playing, joking, having fun, sleeping over...

Like friends.

Eventually, Vi slowly opened her eyes, blinking a few times to focus her vision before her gaze drifted to all the objects covering North's white walls. Lowering her eyelids, Vi turned onto her other side, only to be met with the sight of North's sleeping face mere inches away.

Raising her eyebrows in surprise, Vi stared at the black-haired girl in her peaceful sleep, thin strands of misplaced hair hanging over her face. Her right hand clinged onto the blanket, holding it against her body for warmth.

Her soft, even breaths, the slow rising and falling of her chest... seeing North in such a state of relaxation made Vi feel warm inside.

Her expression began to gradually relax as she reached her hand over and carefully tucked a strand of hair behind North's ear, her touch tender so as not to wake her. Then, she moved her finger over and pushed North's bangs away from one of her eyes.
