NORTH OPENED THE DOOR to her bedroom and tossed her backpack onto the floor, walking over to her computer desk. She opened one of her drawers and digged inside for the papers she had stashed inside.

After retrieving said papers, she crouched down and opened her bag, placing the papers inside a folder.

Also inside the folder was a thin book on inventing she had purchased from the library before coming home.

North had seen the book online not too long ago and found it in the library nearby her school. After skimming through the chapters, she decided to buy it for Powder's lessons.

Now, all that was left to do was to wait for Vi to get to her place. It didn't take too long for Vi to arrive, and with her, she brought her own bag.

Vi knocked on North's balcony door, North quickly getting up from the couch to open the door. Vi then stepped inside the bedroom, one hand clinging onto the strap of her bag.

"Hey." Vi greeted, sliding her bag off her shoulder.

"Hey. Did you bring clothes?" North asked her.

"Yeah, in here." Vi replied, holding her bag out to North.

North took her bag by the strap and used her other hand to open it, looking inside to see a small pile of folded clothes.

"Okay. Real quick, I'm going to go change in the bathroom." North said, Vi nodding before North went into her bathroom.

Vi crossed her arms over her chest and started to pace around North's bedroom for a while, her eyelids lowering as she looked around in boredom despite North only being gone for a few seconds.

Curious, she walked over to North's bookshelf and started to observe all the books and items present on the shelf, all the way from the top and down.

A small smile formed on Vi's lips at all the books taking up the space. Dragging her finger across the row of books, she stopped at a red book that caught her eye.

After taking the book off the shelf, Vi examined the cover art. It was a book called Love Birds and it had two women on the cover holding hands-- one had blonde hair and the other had light salmon pink hair.

Vi grinned at the book as she stared at the image a few seconds longer before placing it back where she had found it.

She then grabbed a darker colored book that had what appeared to be a human girl and a ghost girl on the cover. That book was tilted Haunted. Vi turned the book to the back and started to read the little description.
