"If you don't shut up now, you're gonna wake her.", I heard Ashton say, and wondered who had come by this early.
"Well, it is noon, so she might as well get up. Didn't she have work at the store?", a voice I recognized as Luke's said.
"No, I called her uncle, she gets the day off and can do some planning here. We didn't go to sleep until sunrise, there's no way I'm making her get up early.", Ashton replied and I internally aww'd at this.
"I really appreciate it Ash, but I'm awake.", I told him, and slowly sat up while they walked over to me.
"Hey Luke. Didn't see you in like 3 days? How's life?", I joked, and Luke rolled his eyes, before sitting down in front of me.
"It's been alright, you know, with a full night of sleep. We didn't get to celebrate the end of tour though, so I thought we could do that tonight? Here?", he asked, glancing at Ashton before looking at me questioning.
"You should ask him, that's not my house, is it? But I'd be more than glad to celebrate with all of you.", I replied, chuckling.
"Right, Ash?", he directed his question at Ash, who just laughed and rolled his eyes, before agreeing.
"But you're all bringing food and stuff, I don't want to go grocery shopping for all of you again.", he said, pointing a finger at Luke threateningly even though it made all of us laugh even more. I definitely could get used to these relaxing mornings with these two boys. But I do remember Ashton saying something about me having to plan for the record store at home, so I eventually got up, showered, and sat down with a coffee behind my computer to start with that. Ashton gave me a quick kiss before leaving to the basement...even after 2 weeks of tour not getting enough of his drums.
I actually worked for over 2 hours and got most of the evening planned out and contacted some more artists. Those that already replied were really happy and thankful for this chance and I hoped it would help them start their musical journey. When I closed my computer, it was already 4pm and I knew soon enough the boys would disturb the calm that was currently present in this house, save for the quiet drumming noises that were still coming from the basement. Deciding to join him there and see what made him drum for more than 2 hours, I walked downstairs just as the drumming stopped. I stepped into the room and saw him wiping the sweat off his forehead and getting up.
"Hey, you done?", he asked, and I nodded, sitting down on the small couch, immediately grabbing the guitar that was laying there, not being able to stand leaving my fingers off of it.
"Yeah, I got a lot done. What about you? You've been drumming for 2 hours straight, everything okay?", I asked, raising an eyebrow, because long drumming sessions usually meant anger or worry or every feeling in between that had been taking over his mind.
"Yeah, actually couldn't be better. I did record some videos though. Decided to slowly upload drumming covers for Superbloom. There have been so many asking for this lately and I finally got the time.", he replied, grinning widely, and I couldn't help but mirror his expression, telling him, that it was an amazing idea, and fans would appreciate it. You see, the perks of having a solo record from the drummer of the band is seeing him up front and having him sing all of it. But the downside is definitely that you can't see him drumming while performing, so this was as close to perfect as it could get.
"The boys should be here soon. Is Sav coming too?", Ashton asked, while we were preparing the kitchen for at least 3 hyperactive men.
"I hope so. We've talked yesterday before you came home and she said she was excited to see where Calum's and her relationship is headed so she'll probably want to tag along.", I explained, and he nodded, not going further into the topic as we would soon know for sure anyway.
