Finally it had come. It was unbelievable. Mode-L were breath-taken by the sights, starting their Asia tour in Thailand. None of the girls, except Sooyeon had been to Thailand so seeing it for the first time was such a magical experience, especially when they were greeted by many Thai fans. They had never imagined having a fan base outside of their country beyond a handful of people.

"How did you spend your new year?" Subin asked, looking over at Mirae and Hyebin. "I'll tell ya how I spent mine... alone. Just me and my shin ramyeon cups."

"I thought you were spending it with Youngji and her family this year." Hyebin frowned, noticing Subin's eyes roll.

"I was going to but after a day I was terrified. Her father is so strict, turns out he's some big shot military captain. I felt so on edge, he's really particular about things. It's no wonder Youngji never makes a mess." Subin ranted, earning a laugh from the pair. "He's seriously no joke. He was nice but he reminded me of my hagwon teacher."

"So how did you even leave?" Mirae questioned.

"Well, I kinda lied. I said that I had a schedule..." Subin pursed her lips. "I was a ball of nerves, one more day and I would have lost my mind."

"It can't be that bad-"

"Next time you can stay then," Subin offered. "They're really hospitable. They are... but I'm not made for military houses. I was hoping to work on some new choreography and dance practice but I made one scuffle on the floor and went into panic mode."

"Awe your poor thing, you should have asked to come to mine." Hyebin laced her arm around Subin's waist, pulling her closer. "We told our families..."

"About the ring?" Subin gasped, earning a swat from Mirae in an attempt to quieten her down as they were still in a public space. "Oh my god, how did it go? Are they okay with it? Weer they happy? Or was it like the dramas? Did they throw water at you and offer you cash? How much cash? Can we buy-"

"No," Hyebin cut her off with an airy laugh. "They all handled it well. They were happy. I'm just a little worried. They were so happy that they wanted to tell their close friends... We had to explain the situation. I was worried about his dad but he was surprisingly the one that handled it the best."

"Wow. When exactly do you guys plan to tie the knot then?" Mirae asked enthusiastically, hooking onto Hyebin's arm so they could all be closer to discuss it more privately.

"We were thinking about waiting a year and seeing how the fans are. We'll probably go private or if they seem mature, drop the dating news and then see how it ends up." Hyebin sighed. "I think that's what I'm most afraid of. The fans."

"You wanted this career more than anything. You worked hard. You ate well, trained hard, overcame your sasaeng incident, overcame harsh criticism and dieting. No matter what, even if they turn their backs on you, I'll still be your fan." Mirae cheered her on with a smile as Subin nodded in agreement.

"Speaking of fans, how is your CEO girlfriend?" Subin chimed. "I need more of your love life stories to live vicariously through."

Mirae laughed shyly, looking at the pair who stared back enthusiastically awaiting to hear about the couple. "We're good. Really good. I didn't think it would work out well. We argue quite a bit these days but she's never once crossed any boundaries. It's more like petty jealousy. It's cute. I've never had someone who's been overprotective of me, it's kinda nice."

"This would be ten times better if you were an office worker, it would be like an office romance drama then." Hyebin teased.

"Stop-" Mirae giggled, feeling herself blushing from the teasing. "I can't handle the attention."

"You should," Subin gave her a smug look. "You ranked 10th last week in the reputation rankings. Your name was literally next to Blackpink's Rosé. That is monumental."

"What's the discussion, ladies?" Sooyeon's voice made them jump as she appeared beside them, slinging her arm over Mirae's shoulder and observing their shocked faces. "Uh oh. Is it me?"

"No!" Hyebin quickly denied, earning a chuckle from Sooyeon. "We were just teasing Mirae."

"Ahh," Sooyeon nodded. "Well I'm sure she'll be glad to know that we can go now then."

"My savior," Mirae pretended to grasp at her chest and dramatically offer her heart.

"By the way, I overheard that we are going to film an M/V for a new song here." Sooyeon gossiped, mirroring the confused face of the rest of the girls. "Did we even record one?"

"We haven't..." Mirae trailed off, attempting to recall when any of this had occurred.

"At least we're getting a new song, I guess. It's been a while since our last." Subin shrugged.

"Wait-" Hyebin gasped, remembering something. "What if it's the song we originally recorded pre-debut? It got scrapped after you know who got kicked out."

"Oh I really liked that song! Do you really think it could be that? I don't even remember the dance though." Subin sighed.

"If it really is that song, don't you think it will be a hit?" Mirae became excited, her head looking from side to side at a rapid pace as she awaited their responses eagerly.

"Ah, now I'm excited." Sooyeon groaned. "I thought they would have sold that song by now... We'll probably just have to re-record her parts and redistribute lyrics. It won't even take a lot of work, it's just the choreo."

"I'm sure it'll be fine. Whatever it is, we should ask to perform it at the concerts since we don't have many songs." Hyebin suggested, her smile faltering as she remembered how the company disliked when they expressed their opinions. "I don't think they'll like it. I think we should ask a manager to suggest it. CEO Joo likes Juri unnie right? I don't think he'll get mad if she suggests it."

"He's such a pig thought, I feel bad for Juri." Sooyeon sighed. "He always acts overly-friendly with the female trainees only. At least she is here with us so she doesn't have to see him alone."

"Yeah," Mirae agreed, all of them pulling away from their group huddle as they noticed the staff and the other two members coming over. "Did they sort it out now?"

"Mhm, it's all fine now." Jiyeon smiled, holding hands with Youngji. "Our documents were mixed up with the boarding pass copies."

Hyebin felt the phone in her pocket vibrate, remembering how she had promised to message Changkyun when she had arrived safely. There was absolutely no way she could get it out now since she was surrounded by staff and wasn't allowed to have a mobile. After all she had went through in security to hide it, she couldn't risk losing it now.

"Everyone ready?" Juri asked, watching as the staff came to form an oval shape around them as they prepared to escort them through the arrivals hall.

Although they'd already peaked at the fans, whilst waiting for the rest of the staff and the other members to come, nothing could have prepared them for the moment they turned the corner. Even the view outside the windows behind the fans was just as spectacular as they'd seen when the plane landed.

The vibe of being in a different country, surrounded by people who supported and admired them and their music... it was everything. Hyebin could already feel herself becoming more motivated to throw herself into her work. Just the thought of performing was making her steps become bouncy. It was slightly scary when the fans pushed too much, causing the members to flinch momentarily but aside from that, they were too happy to be there. Their first overseas tour was finally beginning. It felt as if they had opened a new chapter in their lives.
