Chapter 6

Her manager had informed her that he'd be waiting in 2 hours in the basement parking lot and would only wait 15 minutes before assuming she wasn't going to meet Changkyun that night.

Instantly, Hyebin  hurried into the lift, tapping on her floor number and hoping it would hurry so she could spend the time with her members. Being such an important night, Hyebin decided it was time to confess to the rest of her members about her dating. Obviously she was nervous but she hoped they would all be rooting for her since she sincerely loved him with all her heart. She desperately wanted everything to work out well.

Instantly upon entering the apartment, the girls were gathered round releasing poppers and balloons. Laughing gleefully, she smiled at the efforts they had gone to for her. They had done the same thing for Youngji previously, however, since she was older, Hyebin didn't expect for her achievement to be celebrated too.

Subin weighted herself down on Hyebin's arm, dragging her over to the living room where they sat around the coffee table wanting to gossip and congratulating her.

"Thank you for everything guys," Hyebin started sincerely with a smile. "I just can't believe my luck. I know some people who don't get along with their members but that was never the case with you guys. There was a point where friendship felt like family and even though it's only been almost two years, I really do love and appreciate you guys."

"Oh no, not the waterworks-" Subin pretended to be embarrassed, avoiding eye contact with Hyebin and the others completely as if she were going to cry. "You're not bad yourself."

Hyebin chuckled at Subin's comment, weighting herself down on Subin's arm this time. Though they had different characters, Subin tended to show her affection with skinship rather than words so even small things like hooking arms or joking around was enough to bond them.

"Ahh, well I guess I'll have to say something more shocking to get a response from you," Hyebin smirked, watching as the girls looked over at her with raised eyebrows. "Maybe something like, I'm dating..."

Testing out the waters, Hyebin eyed the members for their reactions. Youngji's jaw had dropped, her lips curved up as if she had heard the juiciest secret in the world. Beside her, Mirae smiled supportively, awaiting the words she had suspected long ago. Being her roommate, Mirae noticed the small changes in her behavior and the late night sneaking out but never questioned it. As someone who used to have feelings for her, she wanted nothing more than for her to be happy, just as she was now. Jiyeon's eyes lingered on Sooyeon, who seemed as if she knew something the others don't by her suspicious small smile. Subin's head had completely snapped round to stare intensely at Hyebin with wide eyes and a suggestive smile.

After seeing their reactions, she knew what she had to do. There was no doubt in mind as she opened her mouth, the words falling loosely from her mouth despite the weight of them.

"I want to be honest with you guys," Hyebin faked a smile, her nerves not allowing her to be happy until she was sure everyone was okay with it. "I've been dating this guy for almost a year. I didn't know it would get this far but... he proposed to me."

"What!?!?!?!?" Sooyeon screeched in excitement, throwing herself over at Hyebin dramatically. "Why didn't you tell me?!?!"

"You knew?!?!" Subin gasped, pretending to be offended and throwing herself on Hyebin too.

"Ah," Hyebin groaned, pouting as she pulled herself from under the two.

"Of course I knew, I was dating Wonho. She's dating Changkyun." Sooyeon replied, not realizing she had brought up Wonho's name for the first time in a while.

"Wait, you're dating an idol?" Jiyeon asked, processing all she had just learnt. "And he is from the same group as unnie's ex, her proposed to you and..."
