Though hectic, there was no other way she'd rather have it be. From the early am, she and Changkyun headed down to the city hall as soon as it had opened to sign the legal statements necessary to wed them along with a witness, which happened to be Sooyeon as the requirement was an English speaking witness and she was the most fluent amongst their family and friends.
Once all had been signed and confirmed, the pair walked out happily hand in hand, with an awkwardly alone Sooyeon. Regardless, she was delighted that everything worked out well between the two. Now all they had to do today was get over to the venue, finish getting dressed up and hold the wedding.
Perhaps it was the adrenaline, however, Changkyun could not stop himself from bouncing around. From afar, he probably looked like a lovesick teenager constantly fawning over his girlfriend every few seconds, whether it was adjusting her scarf so she wasn't freezing in the Christmas-time New York winds or attempting to hail a taxi on the bustling streets while urging her to stand away from the side of the road as it was dangerous.
Soon enough, they had arrived at the venue, a quaint small hall with a rustic interior and enough space for maybe 20-30 people, which was just enough for them all and a little buffet area with some refreshments. They had not seen the before, however, upon arriving their family and friends had decorated the hall with cute flower arrangements around, lights strung around the room and pretty balloons to add to the atmosphere. It was incredibly charming despite it being decorated last minute. Everyone had done such a great job.
"They're here!" Changkyun's mother immediately rushed over, shoving Changkyun out of the way and grabbing a hold of Hyebin's arm. "Hurry, hurry! Let's get you into your dress."
Hyebin was shocked to hear about a dress. She had just assumed they were going to get married in the clothes they had prepared themselves that day. Upon being led into a back room, she was pleasantly surprised to see a traditional white wedding gown. It must have cost a fortune, especially on such short notice. How did they pull this off without her knowing?
"Where-"
"Do you like it?" Hyebin's mother asked, looking over at Changkyun's mother with a knowing smile.
Keeping it as a mystery was probably a lot more exciting for everyone involved so Hyebin decided not to press on any further with the question.
"I do," she finally replied with a smile. "It's beautiful."
"Ah, my beautiful daughter. When did you grow up?" Her mother reached out, pulling her into a hug as her eyes glossed over.
"No tears!" Changkyun's mother ordered, prying the two away from each other. "Let's give her some space to get into her dress. If you need any help just call, we'll be just outside the door."
Hyebin nodded in response, watching as the two hurried out, closing the door behind them. Now she was alone with her thoughts and those thoughts were just about how to get into the dress. One wrong move with her wide waist and she'd probably burst a seem, however, pulling it over her head would be difficult considering her breasts would be in the way. A momentary feeling of dread washed through her as she prepared herself to pull on the dress.
"Good luck," she mumbled to herself as she began to step into the dress, pulling the former one over her head and tossing it aside before progressing any further with the wedding dress.
Wedding dress... this was it. Her wedding. Their wedding.
