Chapter 28

Despite the girl having 3 more days left in Dallas, the boys were set to leave after today to head to Houston so Sooyeon was having an alone day to go around on her own while Hyebin and Changkyun spent their last day together to say goodbye.

Since Hyebin couldn't visit Six Flags with Sooyeon, Changkyun opted to take her. After going on a few rides, the pair had stopped by a food place within,  buying various snacks like pepperoni pizza, hot dogs and pretzels.

They weren't exactly sure how they were gonna eat it all and maybe they went overboard but after all those rides, they were starving. Leaning against a nearby wall, they snacked on their foods, which were placed on the wall.

"Here," Hyebin smiled brightly, holding out her pizza and placing a hand underneath as she reached out to let Changkyun have a bite.

He let out a serious of noises as he savored the flavour. It was nowhere near the best pizza he had eaten but when starving, even a cardboard box would taste 5 stars to him. Holding out his cola to Hyebin, she took a sip from the straw without taking it from him since she still held the pizza in her hand.

"This is nice," Kyun sighed happily, leaning back against the wall and observing his surroundings. "I wish we could go out on dates publicly more often."

"Mmm, I agree." Hyebin mused, leaning her head back and looking up at the blue sky, various shaped clouds gliding by as she tried to make out what they were in her mind. "It's always nice to be with you anyway but outdoor dates seem really fun. I hope one day we can walk through a park together, no masks or worries about getting caught. Just like a normal couple."

They stood in silence for a few minutes before Changkyun finally spoke up.

"We are a normal couple," he stated, lifting up from his spot and scooting closer to her. "And we can do normal couple things. I'll make sure of it... Soon enough, we can enjoy that walk in the park without worries."

"I hope so," her dimples peeked out, his hand reaching out to cup her cheek as he pressed his lips against hers.

Much to her surprise, he didn't stop at a peck. They had been a very PDA couple but it was unusual to do such a thing in public. For some unknown reason, Hyebin enjoyed it though. Making out in public, the fear of being caught by a fan or news site had only heightened the risk, exciting the pair as it was risky.

Finally pulling away, they both seemed to have gotten an adrenaline rush from the kiss more than the rides. Hyebin buried her head in his chest, laughing as she whispered something to him, making him laugh too.

"You know, you'd look good with a cowboy hat from the merch store," Changkyun teased, making the pair laugh once again.

"Oh yeah?" She raised an eyebrow. "Sexy cowgirl?"

"Definitely," he pulled away, picking up their rubbish to throw away. "Shall we go and have a look now?"

"Alright," she agreed, her smile never faltering. It was such an amazing day.

A year ago she never would have imagined half the things that have happened to her over the past year. The good and the bad. It had all been such a huge learning experience for her, helping her to grow. She wasn't the same girl that walked into the CEO's office but it was for the better.

Her self acceptance, being able to be comfortable with herself, her body and her skills. To be loved and to love. There were many people to thank for helping her become the person she was now. She couldn't imagine a life without them anymore as if they'd always been there by her side.
