Chapter 8

Finally February had came and with it, the celebration of Seollal (Seolnal). Monsta x were preparing for their comeback in February and their tour 2019 tour in April. Of course it was going to be another difficult year for the couple since they were both on tour this time so they planned to make the most of the time they had together by celebrating Seollal with each other's family. 

"I think I can really crack the professor this time, " Hyebin determinedly nodded her head.

"I don't know..." Changkyun squinted his eyes at her. "He's always been like that."

"I'm sure I can get your father on my side, I'll tell him about your new tattoo." She joked as his eyes widened out of fear.

"You wouldn't!" He gasped as she let out a giggle. "You shouldn't know about it anyway... It's in a private spot."

"Hardly private," she snorted. "You always walk around topless."

"It's on my hip." He argued back, pulling up his top a little and observing the little sun tattoo, which sat above his pelvic line. "I did it for you anyway."

"And I think it's very cute..." Hyebin smiled, nudging her shoulder against his as she moved closer to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. 

"Is that all I get?" he pouted, turning his head to give her access to his lips.

"We're in public." Hyebin whispered, pushing his mask back up.

"Fine," he mumbled, crossing his arms and leaning back into the seat. "You know I'm going to get my driving license soon. We can go more places then without all of this."

"Won't you miss it though?" Hyebin questioned. "These train rides are always enjoyable. We get to spend time together in public without having to do anything else."

"I do enjoy it but I want to be able to spend time without these disguises, just the two of us being able to freely enjoy the journey." Changkyun explained, pulling up her mask. "It's almost time to get off now. I'll grab the bags."

"It's okay, I can get my own." Hyebin protested as he raised an eyebrow at her.

"You can get your own but I want to hold it for my beautiful girlfriend." He complimented, pulling down their duffel bags. "You can make it up to me later."

"At your parents house?" Hyebin's eyes widened in shock. 

"Not that-" His jaw dropped, thinking of how his christian parents wouldn't even let them share a room without the door open.  "You're so dirty minded."

Hyebin gasped at his accusation. She couldn't believe he called her the dirty one.

"For a religious person, you're not so innocent. Just because you say amen when you-"

Immediately a hand snapped over her mouth as she let out a laugh while two women passed by, holding hands and completely ignoring Hyebin and Changkyun thankfully.

"That could be us but you're a pervert," Hyebin joked pushing his hand away and pushing past him to head to the door, making sure to hold the button for him so he can get through without it closing on him.

"I am not a..." Changkyun moved his eyes around, trying to say the word with his expression somehow which made her laugh more. 

"You're killing me right now," She held onto her side as she tried to calm down, trying not to look at him so she wouldn't laugh more. "I wonder how the new windows look now."

"What new windows?" He frowned, glancing over at Hyebin who raised an eyebrow at him.

"The new ones your mom got fitted last month." She replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"She- Wait, you guys speak?" Changkyun hurried closer to her side as they walked through the station. "Since when?"

"Since we last met. She managed to get my phone and put her phone number in. She also sent herself some photos of us from my camera roll. I was scared at first that a fan got into my phone." Hyebin explained, making Changkyun speechless at all this new information being thrown at him. "She even came to spend the day with me last month when she visited you."

"I can't believe it..." Changkyun gazed out into the distance feeling slightly dazed. 

"Me neither but it was a great day. She brought me some food she made for the dorms and we got matching key chains." Hyebin continued.

"No, I mean I can't believe it. She came to Seoul and didn't tell me or visit?" He mumbled as Hyebin tried not to laugh due to how absurd the situation had become.

"She said she was staying with you..." Hyebin added on, noticing how confused he truly was. "She really didn't say anything to you?"

"No." He sighed. "I think she has a new favorite child."

"Don't be too jealous," Hyebin nudged his arm, smiling to herself as she looked over at him. "You'll always be my favourite."

"And you'll always be my favourite." He admitted, feeling the heat rush to his cheeks as he felt shy after what she had just said. It wasn't anything major but that one phrase had somehow made him feel all giddy and lovesick. It was a weird sensation but one he welcomed. "I can't wait to spend time with you this week."
