Even with the sound of the shutter going off every few seconds, Hyebin couldn't keep her worries buried. Currently, the girls were at a random vintage diner taking concept photos for their comeback album. It was hard work without having any food, so they were relieved when the photoshoot came to an end, allowing for them to go on a lunch break before they'd resume by beginning to shoot scenes for their M/V.
During their lunch break, the members had decided to go to a nearby convenience store to get some food. Unexpectedly, Hyebin had ended up running into someone she thought she'd never encounter again...
"Hey, sorry but aren't you the girl from the other night?" A familiar voice rang out from beside her, causing her to widen her eyes as she turned around to face the woman.
"I-" Hyebin stuttered momentarily due to the shock of it all, however, she managed to regain a calm composure before speaking once again as she noticed how the woman had addressed her. It seemed as if she didn't know she was an idol. "I am, yeah."
"Oh I'm glad to run into you again, I felt so bad about taking off last time." She apologised, noticing Hyebin's eyes shifting nervously as if she was afraid of something. "Sorry, am I making you uncomfortable?"
"No-" Hyebin protested, making sure the aisle was clear one last time before continuing to speak. "I'm just on my lunch break so I'm anxious to get back, that's all."
"Aha, me too." The woman replied, brushing back her dark red hair from her shoulder. "How did everything go... You know with the-"
"Oh, that, it was nothing." Hyebin lied, not wanting a rumour to get out. "I was being silly, I'm not even dating anyone."
"Well that's good news, right?" The woman raised an eyebrow as she continuously smiled. "I can't relate. I'm actually here to get another test but you probably don't wanna hear all about my nonsense."
"No, not at all. If you want to exchange contact info, I'm always here if you wanna talk..." Hyebin offered, wanting to offer support as she felt comfortable for some reason. Perhaps it was because they were in the same situation...
Little did she know, that was untrue.
As the woman pulled out her mobile phone, tapping at the screen, she introduced herself to Hyebin.
"My name's Haewon, Mok Haewon."
"My name is Hyebin, but you can call me Binnie." Hyebin tried to withhold information such as her last name just in case anything went wrong.
"Here," Haewon handed her phone to Hyebin for her to type her phone number in, the corners of her lips raising subtly as she pretended not to pay attention.
Typing in the number and saving her contact name as Binnie, Hyebin handed the phone back with a smile, which Haewon returned.
"If you dial it, your number should pop up on my phone." Hyebin began to explain, manipulating her next sentence to prevent any kind of suspicion regarding her job role. "I don't have my phone on me right now since it's at my workplace."
"You're braver than me," Haewon laughed. "I couldn't leave my phone alone for a minute."
"Hyebin-" Jiyeon's voice called out, hurrying over.
"I should be getting along now," Haewon excused herself, noticing how much time she'd taken. "I've got a deadline."
"Alright, well I'll see you around." Hyebin smiled, waving her goodbye before turning her attention to Jiyeon.
"Who was that?" Jiyeon asked curiously, recognizing the back of the person but not being able to identify them. "Another idol?"
"No," Hyebin chuckled, playing it off as a joke. "Just a friend."
Haewon's smile dropped as she heard the word friend, placing the pregnancy test back on a random shelf before hurrying out of the shop. The word had made her feel slightly guilty, however, that didn't matter much.
"Haewon, did you get it? What did she say?" A girl with short blonde hair made her way over to Haewon, three other girl following in pursuit as they headed down a nearby alleyway together.
"She said no-"
"As expected..." the girl smirked, patting Haewon's shoulder, which tensed up at the sudden contact. "You did well Haewon. Now we've made her think she's pregnant, she'll surely run away from our Changkyun. It's only a matter of time before that wench's career is over. She'll wish she never met him."
Even though the compliments felt nice, Haewon couldn't help but to feel guilty. She'd done all of thiz to gain favour with a group of sasaengs so she could be a part of them but it didn't feel as good as she thought it'd feel. The lying, setting up a seemingly nice girl and dragging her through hell before ending her career. It was too late to go back though. Part of Haewon still wanted to be a part of the sasaeng group, the feeling of knowing something that others didn't know made her feel excited. The conflict inside would surely get worse from here on out but what could she do? She was now in with the infamous sasaeng group of Monsta X, specifically Changkyuns.
