When I woke up the next day, it was late morning. First thing I did was hit my phone to kick off the alarm and noticed I had several missed texts.

Opening them, some were from management and friends, a few were from Ophelia.

I opened hers first.

"Good morning! I imagine you are still asleep while I suffer and have to go to class at this ungodly hour. Anywho, I slept well. Hope you did, too."

There was a picture after that of her shoulder and the bruises and bite marks still there, looking worse than they did last night. I cringed, again.

"Looks like it'll be a t-shirt kind of day. But don't you dare feel bad for leaving them! Feel free to leave them every time. ;)"

I cringed again at the marks I had left. I can't believe I was that rough with her. I don't really even remember being that rough. But she clearly seemed to enjoy it. I remember her biting me and digging her nails into my skin, but the marks she left on me weren't nearly as bad.

"I slept well. Glad you did. Still gonna say sorry for the marks. They look worse today than they did last night. What are you doing later after your classes?"

I put my phone down and went into the bathroom to quickly shower and get ready for my day. I had a couple of meetings but then wanted to maybe meet Ophelia for dinner or a late lunch.

When I got out of the bathroom, I checked my phone and saw she had replied.

"Going to study for my finals. Got them bitches coming up. Semester is almost over. Yay!"

"Wanna grab dinner at some point? Can't study on an empty stomach."

I got dressed and put my phone in my pocket. I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen for a quick bite to eat before officially starting my day. Once I ate my breakfast, I quickly brushed my teeth and made my way out the door. Ophelia hadn't responded to my dinner request yet but I figured she was in class.

After my meetings were over and done with, I saw she had sent me a text.

"Not tonight but how about tomorrow?"

I was a bit disappointed but knowing she needed to get her work done, I replied, "Tomorrow works great. When are finals? Mully and I thought it would be great to have a little get together thing. I'd love for you to meet someone other than him. I really want you to meet Tara. I think you two would get along great. But Tomi suggested maybe waiting til you were done for the semester?"

A couple of minutes later she responded, "Ohh, that could be fun. It wouldn't be a lot of people though, would it?  Finals are next week. Got two papers to finish up and a class project to finish up. As well as two exams. So, yeah, definitely after I'm done. This week is going to be long."

"Okay, cool, we'll figure it out. Sundays usually work best, right?'

"Yes."

"Alright. Sooo in two weeks?"

"Should work out perfectly fine for me." She sent that and I saw her typing again, "But I better see you before then!"

"We're having dinner tomorrow so, of course, you will. And I can help you study for the exams, if you want? Make myself useful."

"Sure, any extra help would be great." More typing. "Sorry we can't see each other today. Really need to get some work done."

"It's okay. School is important."

"That's what they say. Anywho, I should get back to it. Talk to you later. Bye!"

"Bye."

For the rest of the day we texted each other here and there. I loved that she didn't take forever to respond and that she informed me of things without me having to ask. And I know she didn't know that just doing something as simple as texting me would make me happy or confident, but it did. More than she could ever know.
