"Hey, Mully, you got a minute?" I asked, walking downstairs and into the living room.

He turned to me, "Yeah.  What's up?"

"Tomi's not here, is she?"

"No.  Why?"

"Because I don't want her to hear what I'm about to say."

This peaked his interest enough that he sat up and muted the TV.  "Okay, what's going on?  You're not breaking up with Ophelia are you?"

"What?  No! Why would you think that?"

"Because you don't want Tomi around to hear anything you're about to say.  I figured that means it has something to do with Ophelia."

"Well, it does....sort of, but not really.  No, it's just...I think I'm going fucking crazy."

He arched an eyebrow.  "Okay?"

"For the past few weeks I've been seeing Maggie everywhere I go. Or at least, I see her and then blink and she's gone."

"Ew!" He made a disgusted face.  My friends really no longer held back on their feelings and disgust towards her.

"A few weeks ago, when Ophelia and I went to Catalina Island, was the first time it happened.  I thought I saw Maggie on the ferry back.  And ever since then, at least once a day, I think I see her.  It always turns out to be someone who slightly looks like her but it has me panicking."

"Where else have you seen her?"

"Here and there.  No place real specific or important.  Just places like on a fucking ferry, or the grocery store.  I thought I saw her on our hiking trail.  At the movies.  Yesterday I thought I saw her outside the studio.  I'm freaking out!"

"Okay, okay, calm down.  None of these people have turned out to be her, though, right?"

"No.  It's just got me freaked out.  I mean, she does have friends here.  It's not unlikely that she could be here."

"Yeah, but she mostly hated LA.  She never wanted to come visit you."

"Yeah that's because, among the things she hated about LA, is that she hated me the most," I said, running my hands through my hair.

"Alright, calm down, Niall.  None of these people have been her, so just relax."

"That's not even the worst part!"

"What else is there?"

"I've been having this dream that feels so real.  The first time, again, was the night we got back from Catalina.  I woke up, or thought I had woken up, and she was in my bedroom, running her hands across Ophelia's arm and threatening to hurt her and herself if I didn't take her back."

"Uhh, that's fucking nuts!  You wouldn't take her back!"  He paused.  "Would you?"

I looked up at him, shocked.  "No!  God, if this had been months ago, yeah maybe I would've been stupid enough but not now.  I'm finally in a good place, with a great girl, and this would be just my luck, for her to fucking show up as soon as I'm happy again."

"Except how would she know you're happy?  For all she knows, you're miserable without her!"

"Doubtful since I haven't gone crawling back to her."

"Yeah but you tried."

I looked at him.  "Deo or Mark?"

"Both of them.  They made sure to let me know to block her from all calls and emails and whatever else."
