Niall's POV

"What is your problem, dude?  I need to be with Ophelia before Maggie gets to her!"

"What is Maggie even doing here?" Mully asked, finally letting go of my arm.

"She's friends with Maria but I thought Maria said she wasn't invited. She probably just showed up knowing I would be here."

"Probably but you've got to get her out of here before she fucks up this wedding."

"I don't want anything to do with her!"

"Well, we need to get her out of here before she says or does something. I didn't like the way she looked when she was talking to you and Ophelia. What did she say?"

"Nothing.  She was extra fake as shit but polite."

"Fuck."

"She was clearly high, though.  I could see it in her eyes.  Her pupils were the size of a pin point."

"Of course, they were."

Mully ran his hand through his hair.

"Look, let's just go. I just want to get Ophelia and go home. I don't want to deal with Maggie and her bullshit. This is James and Maria's day and she is Maria's friend. We've enjoyed this day so far, let's not let her appearance ruin it.  Let's just get the girls and go home. Please? I just want to get my girl and go home."

He nodded.  "Okay, I'll get Tomi."

"Thank you."

"Yeah."

We walked back in and Mully went to find Tomi while I went to find Ophelia. I didn't see either of them in the room where the reception was being held. I walked out into the hall and made my way to the bathroom, wondering if she had gone there. As I turned the corner, I ran into Maggie.

"Oh, hi Niall." She smiled at me.

"Please, leave me alone," I said, trying to get past her but she grabbed my arm and turned me around.

"Oh, c'mon, Niall.  Don't speak to me like that.  I know you miss me." She said this as she ran her hand down my arm.

Shaking her off, I said, "No, actually, Maggie, I haven't missed you. I did, at first, sure, but not in the past several months. I'm good now. I'm done with you. For good. Go destroy someone else's life." I turned to walk away.

"She's no good for you, you know?"

Turning back around to face her, I said, "Excuse me?"

"Ophelia."

"Don't you dare bring her into this. Don't even say her name. She is everything you're not."

"She won't be able to keep up with you or your lifestyle, Niall. She won't be able to take the pressure of living under a microscope once this little, whatever it is, becomes public." She waved her hand in disgust. "Once the first camera finds her, she's done. And you know it. She won't be able to handle it; she won't be able to handle the name calling, the jokes, and any other comments that fly her way. And then what are you going to do?  Your little fuck toy will be gone. And we both know that's all she is to you, anyway. Just a hole to stick your dick into for awhile until you come crawling back to me."

If ever there was a time I wanted to hit a woman, it was in that moment. The amount of restraint I gave myself should win me a fucking gold medal. With my hands clenched into fists, I made my way closer to her and with gritted teeth, said, "You say one more thing and I will fucking end you. She's one of the strongest people I know. And when the day comes that the 'first camera', as you say, finds her, she will be just fine. Now, leave us both alone."
