Chapter 11

After the laboratory, as the class representative, I had to collect all the final outputs and deliver it to Sir Zaragosa's office. Sa totoo lang ayokong makita siya ulit pagkatapos ng lahat ng mga nangyari 'tapos may utang pa ako sa kaniya na nine thousand.

Pero siguro, 'yung isang bagay na nagpalakas ng loob ko ay 'yung katotohanan na may magandang kapalit 'yung mga kahihiyan ko. Yes. It's really official.

Kami na ni Alex at hindi lang ako nananaginip kahapon. Everything was real and Alex... He's the sweetest boyfriend.

"Garnet will be with me. Mauna ka nang umuwi," I told Alex as soon as he finished cleaning his working station. Tiningnan ko pa si Garnet na sarcastic na nginitian si Alex. Siniko ko nga.

"Aw!" Garnet rolled her eyes at me before she wrapped her arm around mine. "Sabi ko okay lang ako na mag-jowa kayo pero hindi pa rin ako approve na siya ang jinowa mo. Wala akong tiwala sa lalaking 'to."

Alex just chuckled at her before he took my bag. I was of course quite surprised with what he did but in the end, I smiled. Inakbayan niya pa ako na lalo kong ikinangiti.

I looked up at him.

"I'll wait for you. Sino'ng boyfriend ang iiwan ang girlfriend niya nang walang maghahatid?"

Natulala ako sa kaniya kasabay nang pagbilis ng tibok ng puso ko. "I-Ihahatid mo ako?"

Garnet nudged me on my side before she snorted. "Sa simula lang magaling 'yan."

"Garnet!" Pinanlakihan ko ng mga mata si Garnet habang natawa lang ulit si Alex.

We started walking towards the second floor of the building where Sir Zaragosa's office was located. Garnet was still lowkey shading Alex but it was a good thing that my boyfriend seemed to not mind it.

"I think I have to work more to prove to your best friend that I can be a good boyfriend to you," Alex said which made me and Garnet stopped on our tracks.

Exactly, in front of Sir Zaragosa's office.

I looked at him and he tapped my head before caressing my hair. "What? You don't like me to be a good boyfriend? Are you more attracted to bad guys?"

Kaagad akong tumawa para itago ang pamumula ng mga pisngi ko dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Utang na loob, Mr. Lao. Isa kang naglalakad na red flag," and here was my dear best friend bursting my kilig and reminding me just in time that Alex is a serial dater who exactly knows how to get his girl.

"Garnet," I called my best friend. Of course, she was telling the truth but still I don't want Alex to get offended. Baka ni hindi kami umabot ng isang linggo nito.

"It's okay, Clarisse. Papatunayan ko na lang sa best friend mo na kaya kong magseryoso at," Alex looked intently at Garnet before he smiled, "magpahalaga."

I blinked, looking at the two of them. Bakit parang may iba?

The awkward air between the three of us was burst when someone said, "Are you looking for Sir Zaragosa?"

Napatingin ako sa nagsalita at nakita ko ang isa sa mga laboratory researchers ng institute. Ngumiti ako bago lumapit sa kaniya. I looked at Garnet and Alex for one last time before I followed the researcher inside Sir Zaragosa's office.

"May kinuha lang siya sa may prep room. Sabi niya, pakihintay na lang siya." The researcher then get a notebook from Sir Zaragosa's table and then leave.
