Chapter Thirty-Two
Payton’s POV
Reece’s laughter fills my ears as we sit in the sand on the beach. Reece’s arms are tightly wrapped around my waist as I sit in between his legs. I rest my head back on his bare muscled chest. I glance up as his perfect face with a pair of black shades resting on his face covering his blue eyes. I smile up at him.
“This is wonderful Reece,” I say as I smile out at the water.
“You’re wonderful,” he says as he squeezes me lightly to his chest.
“You are so sweet,” I say as I grab one of his hands from my waist and intertwine my fingers with his, playing with them.
“I would not want to have anyone else in my arms,” Reece says as he kisses the top of my head.
I twist my head around to stare through the black lenses of his sun glasses and bring my lips to his. His lips are gentle and amazing as they move with mine. It was like fireworks were lighting the sky on the 4th of July. Our lips were like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together and I smile into the kiss. We pull away and I rest my forehead on the right side of his face.
“Payton,” he says softly. “I lo-”
“Payton! Payton! Wake up Pay!” a voice say waking me from my wonderful dream, the first good one I have had since I was little.
I force my eyes open only to by my mom’s smiling face. So she is the one who ruined my dream! Thank you so much…not!! Once I see her smiling face I reclose my eyes hoping to pull the dream back. No such luck and I feel my mom shake me once more.
“Payton wake up! It’s time to spend the day together,” she says as she shakes me and I release a groan. I just want to sleep and resume my dream! Is it too much to ask to just go back to sleep?!
“Payton! If you don’t get up I will go get cold water and poor all over you,” my mom threatens as I pull my blanket higher up cover my face.
“No, you won’t,” I mumble trying to stay asleep.
“Oh but I will,” she says and I feel the bed move and she walks away. Wait! She leaving?! Oh no! My eyes fly open and I sit up straight.
“I am up!” I yell and I see my mom standing at my bed room door laughing.
“Good, now get downstairs. I made breakfast,” she says and leaves the room. She made breakfast? Where’d the food come from?
