Y/n sat down at a bus stop watching as the wind picked up abandoned news papers and threw them down the sidewalk filled with people as they walked to their destinations.
She waited for the bus to arrive before putting in her headphones and making her way to the back of the bus
She looked around gazing at the passengers that occupied the other seats before taking one herself.
She listened to her favorite song f/s tapping her fingers on her leg to the beat of the songs quietly humming to herself.
The bus stopped and she stood up along with a few others who would be exiting the bus with her.
She took off her headphones and put them in her little purse that occupied a few of her belongings.
She walked to the little convince store in a semi busy part of town and waved to her employer
"Good evening Mr Bennett" she said in a calm voice that didn't show nor lack emotion.
The older man smiled at her and gave her a polite wave "good evening let me finish up and then I'll let you take over"
She nodded clocking in and letting herself get settled "alrighty all done have a good rest of your day"
"You too" she said in a soft voice. She restocked the candy bars and heard the small chime from the bell on the door and looked up to see a familiar person who comes in everyday.
"Hello" she said sending him a small smile. He was quite tall and had smooth dark brown skin and glasses.
He had a sort of a mohawk on top of his head and gold earrings. He smiles down at her "hi y/n good to see you as always" he said his voice deep yet calming at the same time.
She smiled and made her way back to the counter. Cain browsed the Isles grabbing his usual soda and a candy bar.
He placed them down and then she scanned them ringing them up and telling him the amount that he paid.
He leaned on the counter and sent her a smirk "so are you free today?" He asked like he usually does
She sent him a small eye roll "could we have a normal conversation without flirting Cain?" She said laughing a bit.
He shrugged "we could...over dinner" he said laughing and she blushed slightly
"Your such a flirt" (my headcannon)
He smiled "was that a yes or a no?" She smiled and looked down at her phone
"I'm free... tonight lucky you" she laughed at his slightly startled expression
"Well don't chicken out now play boy" she teased and he chuckled he passed her a small piece of white paper with numbers scribbled on it.
"Do you just walk around with your number in your pocket?" She asked rasing an eyebrow he laughed and shook his head
"I was waiting to give it to you" she smiled and typed it into her phone sending him a message and hearing the small notification sound come from his phone
"I'll send you my address?" She asked and he nodded "see you later then" he said with a wink as he walked out the door and then she felt her face explode with "What did I just agree too?!"
"And that's how I met your mother" Cain laughed remembering his childhood. He looked at his daughter who was sitting next to him.
"Your father was the biggest flirt I've ever encountered" y/n said with a laugh.
She looked him in his eyes lovingly going on that date was the best decision she's ever made.
