~Alastor~
It had been over a week since the gala, and while I'd heard that Mel was staying with Octavia and the Goetia for a while, I couldn't help but wonder. Mel didn't seem the type to just disappear to another place without so much as a word to her friends and family. It was the thought process I'd had after Charlie had approached me this morning asking if I'd heard from Lucifer or Lilith at all.
When I'd answered no, she pointed out she couldn't get ahold of Melinoë, at all. I tried her phone, but she didn't pick up for me either. We'd exchanged numbers the day before the gala at dinner, so I knew my name was in her phone.
But for her to ignore both me and Charlie, seemed strange.
Nobody could get ahold of her.
In a small panic, Charlie ended up calling one of Mel's good friends, whom of which showed up at the hotel in a matter of seconds. A beautiful demon with gray skin and hair that could only be described as the galaxy.
Based solely on appearances, I assumed her demon magic had something to do with astrology or something along the lines of the Goetia's magic.
Charlie was starting to grow anxious at this point when she spoke. "Eridah, this isn't like Mel. She never ignores us."
"I know Charlie, give me a second, I'm calling Lucifer." Eridah soothed, holding Charlies hand as she rang for the king.
She was quiet before see spoke. "Hey, can one of you call Mel, she's not picking up for me or Charlie, we don't know where she is either." Eridah said calmly, addressing the king as if he was just another one of her friends, but her next statement shocked me a little.
"Dad I have no idea why she wouldn't be picking up- she's with Via?"
Dad? I wondered at her nickname for Lucifer.
"Okay, give me a second, I'll call you back." Eridah decided, hanging up then dialing a different number. Charlie and Vaggie watched with anxious eyes as Angel Dust suddenly came up to me.
"What's got the lesbo so anxious?" Angel asked.
"Melinoë isn't picking up her phone. Hasn't in a week." I responded plainly, while I didn't appreciate the term he'd chosen to describe Charlie with, there were bigger problems afoot.
"Like the King's older daughter? Last time anyone saw her was at the Gala." Angel snorted, heading for the bar where Husker sat again.
"She never showed up?!" Eridah exclaimed, turning to face me with a shocked gaze.
The more I thought about it, the more obvious the answer became.
Why didn't I think about it sooner? Of course, we only just thought about her disappearance, she was supposed to be with the Goetia. She told me before she left... Though she never said for how long.
My thoughts betrayed me as I knew exactly who to blame.
"Eridah, how good are you in a fight?" I asked, my voice rather dark.
"Depends on how much you can stomach." Eridah shot back with a snarl as I picked up my phone and motioned for her to follow me.
I quickly dialed Lucifer, and when he picked up, I didn't bother with pleasantries.
"Val has her." I snarled, my voice dripping with venom. "She never made it to the Goeita's palace. He's had her all week. Meet me there." I didn't wait for an answer as I picked Eridah up in my arms and started to leave when Charlie stopped me.
"Alastor you cant go by yourself, even with Eridah that's an extremely unfair fight. You have no idea what you're walking into." Charlie protested, her point was solid and just. However, I didn't care too much about the odds.
