It's been a week since you went to the high school. Your bruises had faded for the most part you could walk again and the pain had subsided. Even after Lucifer had kicked you, the bruises hadn't lasted any longer then they should have.
Al checked them everyday to make sure you were ok, you were so thankful for him.
You'd recently been informed that Malachi, Damone and Zandri were coming over. Apparently Malachi had some important news that just couldn't be shared over the phone. Whatever that meant, you didn't know or care.
It was stupid.
Or maybe you were just being irrational. It might just be something very important to Malachi.
However, that didn't make you feel anymore social in order to deal with it.
You said in the living room in Als arms you were fighting sleep. "How can you be this tired? You didn't do anything yesterday."he said laughing as you rested your head on his chest. "I don't know i ju-" you cut off as a knock sounded on the door.
You exchanged a look with Al and he made no move to get it.
"Jackass." You snorted, getting up to get the door. "You need to wake up, and I'm comfortable." He responded with a sly smile.
As you opened the door Malachi stood there with a big smile on her face. She rushed inside and hauled Damone and Zandri in after her. Lucifer was walking in the room and raised his eyebrows in surprise as he saw Malachi.
You turned to her. "Why are you so happy?" you asked, giving Al a look. He was just as confused as you. "I got engaged!" she squealed.
That was definitely something not to be said over the phone.
"No way!" you exclaimed, holding her in a tight hug. "Let me see it!" you demanded, her excitement spreading through your veins. She held out her hand showing you the bright red ring.
It was a black band with a glimmering ruby in the center. The metal holding the stone in places was carved to resemble a spider holding onto the gem. Dax has clearly taken Malachi's love of dark things into consideration, though you doubted the wedding ring would be this fun. It'd likely be a traditional ring.
"I never thought Dax would get the balls." you smiled, releasing her hand. Lucifer came over and gave Malachi a hug. "Congratulations Malachi. Do you have any plans yet?" he asked her with a soft smile. She was beaming as she gazed at the man she called dad.
"That's what I came here for, Melinoë. You have alway been there for me. And you really are my big sister. Would you be my maid of honor?" she asked, turning back to you. You pulled her in as an undeniable grin spread across your face.
"Of course, Mal. always." you smiled, holding her tight. "Now that she has told you. Uh Melinoë here." Damone said. He put his hand on your shoulder. "First things first, I'm sorry I wasn't at coronation. Zandri had another anxiety attack." he said in a soft tone. You nodded and assured him that it was okay. Then Damone spoke again, "Dax wants us to sing one of our old songs." he said, giving you a knowing look. You returned it with a sly smile.
"Yeah do we know where the wedding is going to be?" you asked, turning back to Malachi.
She nervously turned to Lucifer. "I was hoping we could have it in the garden here," She asked with a soft smile. "She loves the roses you guys have." Damone turned to Lucifer. Your dad gave a bright smile. "Of course." he responded evenly as Alastor stood and made his way to your side.
As his hand slipped around your waist you saw Damone and Malachi briefly look at him before turning back to Lucifer.
"So how long do we have before the ring hits the finger?" you asked with a smile, leaning into Alastor. "Two months." she responded with a small sigh.
