As you expected they'd be, your parents were home by the time you got back. Lucifer was already annoyed that you were gone, so you could only imagine his reaction when you told him what you'd been doing the past two days after he'd told you to stay at the castle.
"Where the hell were you?!" Lucifer demanded as soon as you were within his line of sight. As you looked at him your emotions threatened to swell as a few tears made their way to your eyes. "I don't know how to tell you anything that's happened." You began softly, Lucifer let out a sigh and came to you, sensing your emotion and sadness.
"Just tell me, I was worried about you." Lucifer urged.
"I was with Alastor." You said softly. Instantly annoyance flared in Lucifer's gaze. "Why on earth would you go and do the exact thing that caused you to get attacked in the first place?!" Lucifer asked, urging the direness of the situation.
"Because I realized that besides you and I, nobody should know that Alastor had come to me, well, besides Alastor. Even Charlie doesn't know. So initially I went to ask what he'd been up to and what his intentions were." You began, stepping closer to your father, wanting his comfort.
"When I explained why I was there, he answered me honestly, I checked. He's decided that he's wanting to help Charlie with the hotel. He said it was more curiosity than anything else. But after that... I asked him why he was interested in me in the first place." You let out a breath as you reached out to your father for his embrace.
When his arms slid around you, you struggled to control your emotions. Lucifer's tight and warm hold made you calm down, you felt safe once more.
"He didn't seem to be interested in anything except me. Not even the potential promise of the crown. He started to make a move on me yesterday, but I got scared and ran off like a little bitch." You admitted, pulling away from Lucifer.
He chuckled a bit at your statement, but remained quiet so you could continue.
"Then this morning, I couldn't get him off my mind so I went looking for him again. And he took me out for dinner and we had a lovely time... then... we ended up in his office and one thing led to another-" you broke off, struggling to comprehend why you'd done it.
"Then Val walked in on us, and Alastor got hurt, and..." you broke off with a sigh and covered your face with your hands. Lucifer just looked at you with soft eyes, waiting for you to continue. You uncovered your face and let out another sigh.
"I really like him," you breathed, feeling the tears well in your eyes, "he's so funny, charming, and sweet... I'm just so scared he's gonna be like Val." Your words ended in a whisper as you lost the fight to keep your emotions under control. Tears slid down your face as you hugged yourself.
"Oh honey," Lucifer breathed, wiping the tears from your face, "don't cry, I breaks my heart when you cry."
Lucifer pulled you into his chest and shushed you, slowly rocking you back and forth. "I wish there was something I could do to help, but you're either gonna have to trust it or cut him off. You know I'll always be here for you, right?" Lucifer asked, you gave a nod and an inaudible 'uh-hm' from his chest.
"Okay." Lucifer breathed, still holding you. He was quiet for a few moments, rocking you.
"Alastor didn't let Val touch you did he?" Lucifer suddenly growled, making you giggle.
"No, Alastor didn't let him get anywhere near me, and Al kept me covered."
"He fuckin better." Lucifer snapped, his annoyance sparking again.
"Go upstairs and get clean, your mother and I still have some work to do." Lucifer instructed softly as he released you from his strong grip.
"Did you ever figure out who broke through the barrier?" You asked, suddenly thinking about it.
