"... Is she alive?"
"Yes she's alive. Why wouldn't she be?"
"I don't know."
"If she's here it's safe to assume Lucifer is too."
The voices slowly brought you from your coma. With pounding headache, you forced yourself to sit up before you sat several figures, one of them appeared to be your dad.
"Daddy?" You moaned quietly, trying to come out of your.
"She thinks he's Lucifer." Another voice seemed to be answering someone's questioning look. The man in front of you, who apparently wasn't your father, still helped you to your feet and held you up until you were steady again. When your vision cleared, instant confusion filled your body once more.
"Are you okay?" The man in front of you asked kindly.
To stunned to speak you ignored him and looked at those behind him.
The hell is going on?
"Melinoë." The man said firmly, the fact that he knew your name only confirmed his identity.
"I'm fine Michael." You sniffed, taking a step back to gaze at those around you. Before you stood your uncle and the rest of your family. Although you tried to keep it at bay, you couldn't help but feel a wave of resentment.
Azrael, Amendiel, Gabriel and Michael all stood before you.
You could tell that they were just as resentful of you as you were of them.
Good.
"Where is my dad?" You asked carefully with an edge to your tone.
"We don't know, we only just found you and Raphael." Michael said calmly, even managing a tone of kindness. You let out a snort and began to walk away.
"Where are you going?!" Gabriel snapped, her wings flapping a bit.
"To find my dad. Unlike you, I stick around for my family." You shot back.
"Lucifer stopped being our family the day he chose pride over his own well being." Gabriel uttered lowly, making you whip around as your eyes turned blood red.
"And what stopped you from standing up for him Gabriel? Your pride? Or your cowardness!" You spat furiously, taking a single step forward. "Even if I wasn't alive, I've seen how it went down. You all seem to forget that Lucifer has the ability to share memories exactly as they were. He can't change them." You snarled furiously.
"I know exactly what each and every one of you did. The only one who even tried to help Lucifer was Michael. And you know exactly why Lucifer challenged god. You all came to the exact same conclusion with him in the room." You rumbled.
"Even so, my father has never spoken an ill word of any of you. And what's the first thing you do Gabriel?" You called the angel out on her shit, making her glare.
"In the eyes of god, all sins are treated equal, are they not?" You challenged, making her back down, a wave of satisfaction flowed over you as you won. "Lucifer is my father, and until the day he betrays every last one of us, he'll continue to be one of the people I do anything for. You guys don't even have that kind of loyalty to each other, much less god." You snorted, turning away to find your father.
"Melinoë." Michael interrupted you again.
"What?!" You snapped, growing sick of the man.
"At least let me go with you. If we're where I think we are, any one of us who goes alone might die." Michael insisted, for a moment, you suspected something beneath his words, but as you looked into his eyes, you felt like you could trust him.
