Days filled with misery passed. Nobody was in a good mood, well besides Michael, not much seemed to ruin his mood. And you honestly couldn't believe how happy he and Lucifer made each other. The two were the only ones who could keep some semblance of a good mood going in the group.

Even Raphael's mood had started to turn sour.

The beautiful environment you were in had seemed to turn dull and mundane. Nevertheless, you continued onward. Through the pointless conversations in the group, you eventually found your way back to Lucifer's side. You slipped your hand into his, seeking some form of familiarity in your surroundings.

Behind you, Charlie carried Hayden on her back, the girl had grown tired about an hour before. You were in the same position, but unlike Hayden, you had nobody to carry you on their back. For obvious reasons. And it's not like you'd ask someone to carry you in this situation anyway. You were way to proud to do that around these people.

...

Like father like daughter, right...?

With a sigh, you squeezed your father's hand and pressed onward anyway. Again, the absence of wind or any other form of life caused a deafening silence to form around the group of angels you were walking with.  The only noise was the breathing and steps of those around you, along with the light conversation Lucifer and Michael were having.

You could see their bond as twins, from what you had picked up from their conversations, not that you were eaves dropping, you just weren't talking to anyone else and were walking directly beside your father. The two had very similar views on life, which honestly shocked you. While Lucifer had never spoken an ill word about his family, you'd always assumed that he would hold some sort of resentment towards them, specifically Michael.

Who wouldn't?

They cast him away for a mistake, an error in judgement.

But with the way he spoke to his brother, even his other siblings, it clearly wasn't so. Lucifer seemed at ease, and maybe it was just the fact that he didn't feel threatened by any of them anymore. After all, you both knew he could kick their asses easily should the need arise, or maybe it was just him behaving as he usually did around other sinners.

Unbothered and on top.

He'd spent centuries in hell, it was impossible for him not to become numb to threats and dangerous situations at some point.

Either way, there wasn't much that rocked your father. You thought it was funny how unbothered your father was, specifically when Gabriell tried to pick fights, which she often did. Your father's calm tone often annoyed her more than she did him, and you knew that Lucifer knew that aswell.

Needless to say, it had been an interesting journey.

But as you walked, you noticed ahead of you, there was a mountain. The violet lights that Lucifer and Michael had been mindlessly following for the past six days seemed to be originating from the mountain.

"Is that it?" You asked your father, hope drenching your voice. Gods you wanted this journey to be over so bad.

"Looks like it."

"Looks like it?" Azrael asked, a bit skeptical.

"None of us have actually seen it, we only know what's inside." Michael answered, making Azrael sigh. "And what exactly is inside?" He prompted, coming up on the other side of you. Lucifer briefly looked at him, then looked back towards the mountain.

"Spells made of a dark magic, the same seal that keeps others out of the rune," Lucifer answered, "In theory, we should be able to bypass it. Although, I'm not sure exactly how many spells or safety precautions have been placed over the heart. The shockwaves enough might be enough to seriously harm us." Lucifer said.
