MudWings

Description: Thick, armored brown scales, sometimes with amber and gold underscales; large, flat heads with nostrils at the top of the snout.

Abilities: Can breathe fire (if warm enough), hold their breath for up to an hour, blend into large mud puddles; usually very strong; will have scales immune to fire if hatched from a red egg.

Habitat: Swamps, forests, or plains.

Weaknesses: Their sibling groups, or "sibs" are very tightly knit, and if one is hurt or killed, the rest try the best they can to avenge it.

SandWings

Description: Pale gold or white scales the color of desert sand, poisonous barbed tail, forked black tongues.

Abilities: Can survive a long time without water, poison enemies with the tips of their tails like scorpions, emit a slight heat, breathe fire.

Habitat: Desert.

Weaknesses: SandWings heavily rely on their tail, so if you take it out of the picture in some way, you can overpower them easily.

SkyWings

Description: Red-gold or orange scales; enormous wings.

Abilities: Strong flier; master of aerial and mountainous combat; can breathe fire; slight cold resistance, either due to having the most fire or living high in the mountains, a few have animus power.

Habitat: Mountains or hills.

Weaknesses: Due to their arena, SkyWings prefer capture over killing. When fighting SkyWings, carry something to cut the bars.

SeaWings

Description: Blue or green or aquamarine scales; webs between their claws; gills on their necks; glow-in-the-dark stripes on their tails/snouts/underbellies.

Abilities: Can breathe underwater, see in the dark, excellent swimmers, can use their stripes to blind their enemies.

Habitat: Beaches, islands, the ocean.

Weaknesses: The SeaWings do not have a breath weapon. They are also lousy fighters on land.

RainWings

Description: Scales constantly shift colors, prehensile tails, particularly large teeth that shoot venom.

Abilities: Can camouflage their scales to blend into their surroundings, use their prehensile tails for climbing; shoot a deadly venom from their fangs.

Habitat: The rainforest.

Weaknesses: Without their venom, they are rather lousy fighters. If you have a ranged weapon or have silk, aim for the front teeth.

IceWings

Description: Silvery scales like the moons or pale blue like ice; ridged claws to grip the ice; forked blue tongues; tails narrow to a whip-thin end.

Abilities: Can withstand sub zero temperatures, exhale a deadly freezing breath, a few have animus power.

Habitat: The constantly frozen tundra.

Weaknesses: Similar to RainWings, they are significantly weakened without their breath weapon. They still have their tail and claws, so watch out for those when forcibly closing their mouths.

NightWings

Description: Purplish-black scales and scattered silver scales on the underside of their wings, like a night sky full of stars; forked black tongues; if a mind-reader they will have silver spots near their eyes.

Abilities: Can breathe fire; disappear into dark shadows; if hatched under one full moon, they will have future-telling or mind-reading, if hatched under two, they will have both, if hatched under all three they will have both powers made exponentially stronger.

Habitat: A very mountainous place on the "Talon Peninsula"

Weaknesses: No known debilitating ones.

HiveWings

Description: Red, yellow, and/or orange, but always mixed with some black scales; four wings.

Abilities: Vary from dragon to dragon; examples include deadly stingers that can extend from their wrists to stab their enemies; venom in their teeth or claws; a paralyzing toxin that can immobilize their prey; or boiling acid sprayed from a stinger on their tails.

Triarch: Triarch Wasp

Population: 31,744, the smallest of the Pantalan tribes

SilkWings

Description: SilkWing dragonets are born wingless, but go through a metamorphosis at age six, when they develop four huge wings and silk-spinning abilities; scales in any color, other than black, or design under the sun.

Abilities: Can spin silk from glands on their wrists to create webs or other woven articles; can detect vibrations with their antennae to assess threats.

Triarch: Triarch Monarch

Population: 98,943, the largest of the Pantalan tribes

LeafWings

Description: LeafWings have green or brown, and sometimes scales the color of autumn leaves; wings shaped like leaves
