Chapter 20

"What? Did you get hurt?"

My eyes went to its normal size when I heard two voices shout almost the same time, my soul nearly leaving my body when they suddenly appeared in front of me.

"Holy shit!" I held my chest as my heart start beating fast, "You scared me!"

"Are you okay?" both of them asks again, glaring at each other after.

"Maybe aside from near heart attack, I'm fine," I wave both Su-hyeok and Wujin.

"Why did you gasp then?" Wujin asks.

I stared at him, offended, "Am I not allowed to gasp anymore?"

"Well... No," Su-hyeok trailed, "But your eyes widen and you slap your mouth shut with your mouth. I thought you hurt yourself. "

"What's the matter, Minra?" Cheong-san asks me. I push the two boys aside so I could be seen.

"It's because I had a sudden realization," I look straight at Dae-su, "You're a genius!"

He pointed at himself, "I am?"

"He is?" Wujin added.

"What do you mean, Minra?" On-jo asks.

"I think Nam-ra's really a Hambie." I stated while smiling.

"And how's that make you happy? What if she suddenly turned into one of them?" Jimin snapped but I ignore her.

"Guys, if we treat what happened to Nam-ra as something bad, then it would really be bad. But if you look at the bright side, you will know that we could use it on our advantage." I asserted.

"Can you please get on the point? We're not really catching up," On-jo stated.

I turn to my twin, "Nam-ra, what do you hear right now?"

She looks at me in confusion before she turns at the curtains, "Tapping, shuffling, water sloshing, someone whistling, a conversation and they mentioned the name Mi-jin." she answered.

I smirked, it just proves my hypothesis, "And could you hear that?" I turn to others who all shook their heads.

"Remember when I told you guys that zombies have heightened senses? If Nam-ra is really a hambie, then she might've gained heightened senses. That's why she could hear what we couldn't hear."

"Or that she's getting crazy because she's turning."

I snapped at Jimin, "Or maybe you should just shut up your mouth if you don't have anything logical to say?"

"I'm just saying that Nam-ra could help us spot if there are zombies around so we could run and hide. It's better to fight prepared than to get surprised and jumped by zombies. We lost so many people because of unexpected attacks." I explained, "but if you don't really trust Nam-ra or I, if she really wanted to hurt us, she should've done it by now."

"Is it okay with you, Nam-ra?" Su-hyeok asks her. Nam-ra seems to hesitate but she nods.

"Then I think Minra's plan is good." he concluded.

Cheong-san nodded too, "It sounds good to me too. Let's go and finish the barrier now so we could leave before night time."

We continue what we're doing earlier. Now, I am in a good mood.

"Live for me please."

I will, Jihyun. I'm going to survive. I'm going to live this hellhole alive.

It took us less time since all of us we're all working. When On-jo gave us the the 'okay' sign, we all went to the other side of the barrier, save for Cheong-san who presented to open the door. Of course, Su-hyeok had to be the hero again so he follows Cheong-san. Honestly, if I didn't knew better, I would say that they would look cute together.
