2024, Latvia.

As Sam, Bucky, Clover, Maria and Zemo were walking down the street to get to the location of Donya Madani's funeral, the group spotted a familiar duo that none of them were excited to see.

"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to be pulling this shit." Walker stated as he and Lemar walked down the stairs.

"I was hoping we never had to run into this guy..." Clover muttered angrily.

"How'd you find us now?!" Bucky questioned.

"Come on, man. You really think three Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?" Lemar asked.

"No more keeping us in the dark. You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison." Walker ordered.

"He did that himself, technically." Bucky told him.

"This better be an unbelievable explana..."

"Hey, take it easy before it gets weird." Sam stepped in, pushing Walker back a bit.

"I agree. Frankly, we don't have to tell you shit." Clover said, crossing their arms.

Walker glared at Clover and rolled his eyes.

"I know where Karli is." Zemo told him.

He was going to step passed him, but Walker stopped him.

"Well, where?" He questioned.

"All we know is it's a memorial." Sam said. "So we're gonna intercept her there."

"That means civilians. High risk of casualties." Lemar stated.

"Alright. Good. We'll move in fast. Take her by surprise." Walker said.

"No, I wanna talk to her alone." Sam interjected.

"I'm not losing her again." Walker told Sam.

"Look. The person closest to her died, she's vulnerable. If there's any time to reason with her, it's now." Sam explained.

"And besides. Sam's probably the only one here who can reason with her." Clover added.

"What? No! Wait, no!" Walker exclaimed. "No! Stop. Hold on. Stop. Okay? I think we're way past reasoning with her. Unless you forgot that she blew up a building with people still in it."

"Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you." Lemar stated.

"And if we go in hot and the op goes wrong, more people will die." Sam counter argued.

"You're gonna let him do this?" Walker asked Bucky. "Are you gonna let your partner walk into a room with a super soldier alone?"

"He's dealt with worse. And he's not my partner." Bucky told him.

"I used to council soldiers dealing with trauma, okay? This is right in my wheelhouse." Sam stated, approaching Walker.

"I know." Walker said.

"Do you?" Clover asked. "'Cause it sure doesn't seem like it."

"You be quiet, Pine. You and I can chat later." Walker sternly told the young adult.

Clover was a bit taken aback by the order, and did not take it too well. Walker rolled his eyes and looked at Sam.

"I know those soldiers, which is why I know this is a bad idea." He said.

"Wait, John." Lemar spoke up. "If he can talk her down, it might be worth a try."

Walker was silent, as was everyone else. He then scoffed angrily and turned to Zemo.
