2018, New York.
"Okay, kids. You've all been doing an excellent job so far."
As Clover set their phone on the counter, they praised the 10 children who lined up on the ice in the ice rink. They stood on the icy flooring in their apartment, with the house arrest device still strapped to their ankle.
"Are you gonna be back soon, Clover?" One of the kids asked.
"Good news, I'm gonna be off house arrest in 3 days. After that, I'll be back." Clover delightfully answered.
The kids cheered over the phone, some of them nearly falling onto the ice. Bradley turned the phone towards him.
"That's great to hear, Clover." He said.
Bradley told the kids it was time to take a snack break, however before Clover could pipe up, they could hear strong winds coming from outside.
"Damn. The winds are awfully strong today." They remarked.
"Kinda weird, considering it's the middle of May." Bradley remarked.
Clover entered their bedroom and looked out the window. The winds were strong as hell. And as if that weren't weird enough, Clover began seeing debris flying though the air.
"Something's not right..." They muttered.
They opened up the window, immediately feeling the strong breeze from outside. They carefully peered their head out the window and that's when they saw it. The cause of the strong winds and debris in the air.
The massive donut shaped spaceship coating over the city.
"Holy shit!" They exclaimed.
"Language, Clover. There are children here!" Bradley exclaimed. "Now what the hell's going on outside?!"
Clover moved their phone outside the window and pointed it towards the spaceship. There were people flying towards it as it got higher and higher. It seemed to be leaving the planet, but the winds were still very strong.
"Brad, listen to me. I need you and the kids to stay in the ice rink and not come out until it's clear." Clover told Bradley.
"What about you? You're on house arrest, what are you gonna do?!" Bradley asked.
Clover looked to the device on their ankle, then they placed their ankle on the edge of their bed and pressed the palm of their left hand on the device. As they felt the cold energy of their power within their hand, frost began forming on the device. Eventually, the device got so cold, Clover was able to rip it off like it was nothing. Once they did so, they threw it on the floor, where it broke a bit.
"I'll tell you what I'm gonna do." They said. "I'm gonna fight these intruders."
Clover grabbed their makeshift suit from Germany. That of which was just a plain winter coat with a cape sewed onto it. It wasn't much but their brothers had given it to them and they weren't planning on getting rid of it. They put the coat on, went back to the window, then looked to their phone again.
"Be safe, guys. Alright?" They said.
"You too, Clover!" The kids exclaimed in response.
"Go kick some ass, Clover." Bradley chuckled.
"I will, Brad. I will."
Clover then hung up, threw their phone on their bed, climbed out the window, and using their powers, they remade their makeshift ice skates, slid down an ice ramp and skated down the street as they covered it with a path of ice.
