2024, New York.

"I didn't mean to kill your friend." Karli said to Walker. "I don't wanna hurt people that don't matter."

"You don't think Lemar's life mattered?" Walker questioned.

"Not to my fight. I just want the people on that truck."

Walker yelled as he hurled what appeared to be Sam's shield at Karli, who deflected it easily.

"How the hell did he get that?" Maria questioned.

While the Flag Smashers began fighting Walker, Bucky was pounding on the lock on the burning truck in hopes of freeing the people inside, who were still screaming in terror.

"I don't know. But get over here and help me out." He said.

Maria ran over, and the two managed to break the lock enough to pry the doors open. They opened up the door and Bucky stepped inside while Maria looked at the fight happening ahead. The Flag Smashers were getting the upper hand, denting Walker's bootleg shield, while Bucky and Maria began helping people out.

"Thank you for saving us." One of the men thanked Bucky.

The metal armed man felt a sense of relief wash over him as he heard those words. He muttered a 'you're welcome' then turned to run off. At that moment, Clover showed up.

"Sorry. Had to take a detour." They said.

"No worries. We got one of the trucks taken care of." Maria stated.

"We got some super soldiers to take care of. Come on, Maria." Bucky said.

Clover then went back towards the lake to try and help Sam. Bucky and Maria went to the Flag Smashers kicking at Walker and tackled one of them, who was about to beat Walker with a post of some kind. One of the Flag Smashers ended up kicking him over am edge, but he managed to land on his feet, before deflecting a piece of debris that a Flag Smasher was about to smash into his head. Unfortunately, Maria stood no chance against 3 super soldiers and got knocked down as well.

Sam continued to chase down the chopper. However, every time he got close, the pilot would just start shooting at him. He had to think of something, and fast. Using his tech, he managed to get the woman with flight training to put on her earbuds so he can speak with her.

"A little birdie told me you know how to fly a helicopter." He stated.

Before he could get a response, the chopper began coming towards him at full speed. It slammed into him, making him crash into the metal posts on a nearby boat and into the water along with those metal posts. Clover, who happened to see all that, hurried to the ledge.

"Sam!" They shouted.

As more metal pole kept dropping into the water, there was a blue light, then Sam came flying right back out of the water.

"Boy, you just earned this ass-whoopin'!" He shouted.

"Sam, you need any help?" Clover asked.

Sam shook his head.

"I'm fine for now!" He said.

Clover nodded and skated down the sidewalk to get back to Bucky and Maria.

"Okay." Sam then said to the woman in the chopper. "What we're gonna do requires perfect timing. We're gonna count down from five. When we get to one, you're gonna grab the control. Okay?"

The woman stayed quiet, but knew the plan, as Sam flew in front of the chopper. Muttering under her breath, the woman began counting down from 5, and when she got close to 1, Sam hurled his shield at the chopper door, which broke it open, and then he tackled the pilot out of the chopper. The woman then hurried and grabbed onto the controls, securing flight once more.
