2024, New York

Clover's flight arrived in New York without a problem, and although carrying the metal crate gifted to them by the Wakandans slowed them down a bit, they eventually made it home to their somewhat small apartment that they shared with their brothers and aunt. Olivia was beyond ecstatic to see Clover okay as she hadn't seen them for about a week, and was obviously very concerned when she saw the scars and bruises spread across Clover's face and body.

"I'm okay, Aunt Olivia. I promise." Clover reassured their aunt. "This crap's just from when we had to fight Walker."

"Did you see what he did?! Man's gone mad." Isaac said.

"I was there. I saw it happen." Clover stated as they set the box on the counter.

"What's in the box?" Oliver asked.

"Don't know." Clover shrugged. "Haven't had a chance to open it."

"I'm just glad to see you're alive." Olivia said.

"She had been absolutely losing her shit ever since you got kidnapped." Oliver added.

"I figured. Sorry for not calling before. I got distracted." Clover apologized to their aunt.

"Did you kick some ass? That's the real question." Isaac asked.

"Isaac!"

"Eh, kinda." Clover muttered. "Walker... he destroyed the hell out of my jacket... he ripped it apart."

"And you're all upset about that? It's just a jacket, really Clover." Oliver said.

"Yeah, but you guys gave it to me!" Clover exclaimed. "I'm just upset that I don't get to kick ass while wearing it anymore."

"Clover!"

"Chill. I'm sure we can figure something out." Isaac sighed.

Clover looked at their phone, and remembered they had an ice skating session at the rink.

"Shit. I gotta go." They muttered. "I'll be back for dinner. I promise."

They grabbed their stuff and left the apartment, taking off down the street to the ice rink, arriving just on time for the session to begin.

"Clover, what happened to your head?" Claudia asked her coach.

"My head's fine, guys." Clover reassured them. "Alright. You know the drill. 10 laps. Go!"

For Clover, life seemed to go on as per usual. Wake up, have breakfast, occasionally go coach the kids at the ice rink, come back, etcetera, etcetera. But, as time went on, Clover began staying at the ice rink longer than before, training their acrobatic abilities. They were never one for gymnastics so at first, they suffered an injury here and there.

"God, I wish you were here to teach me this shit, Lila... you were always better at it than me." Clover muttered.

Eventually, day after day, Clover started to get the hang of this gymnastics stuff their older sister was once so good at. And Bradley pointed it out to them after a skating session one day.

"You been watching me or some shit?" Clover jokingly asked.

"Eh. I just didn't think you were one to do gymnastics." Bradley shrugged.

"I never was." The ice powered coach explained. "My sister Lila was, though. And she was hella good at it."

Clover skated around the ice rink a bit.

"She always wanted to come out on top. She dreamed of being a professional athlete. And I think if she were still here, she definitely would be." They said. "When she was 16, and I was 15, my mom and dad had left to take her to her competition. She had been training for months and she was so determined to win."
