Warnings: Transphobia

2024, Latvia.

A few hours of questioning what had happened to the serum later, Walker and Lemar left in search for the Flag Smashers, as did Bucky and Maria, while Sam, Clover and Zemo returned to Zemo's place. Zemo found himself sitting on his couch with a warm cloth over his eyes and a drink in his hands, and Sam sat at a table with Clover, with his laptop out as he sent Sharon a message that read:

Sharon

Keep your eye in the sky for Walker. Let me know if he moves in on Karli.

Sam

Clover sat on the other side, still pissed off about the way Walker was speaking to them, as they held their glass of water with both of their hands. They didn't realize it, but they were getting so angry that their powers were freezing the water in the glass, and a little bit of frost had been forming on the outside of the glass.

"Were you ever offered it?" Zemo asked Sam.

Sam turned to the man as he finished sending his message.

"What?" He asked.

"The serum."

"No."

Sam seemed proud that he had never been offered, nor had he had any chance to take the serum, as he turned back to his computer.

"If you had been, hypothetically, that is, would you have taken it?" Zemo asked.

Sam slowly turned back to Zemo, with a more serious look on his face and an annoyed glare in his eyes.

"No."

"No hesitation. That's impressive." Zemo remarked.

He grabbed the cloth and removed it from his face with a sigh.

"Sam... you can't hold out hope for Karli." He told Sam.

Clover silently rolled their eyes as they listened to whatever the hell Zemo had to say. As soon as the man's sentence escaped his mouth, Sam also rolled his eyes.

"No matter what you saw in her, she's gone. And we cannot allow that she and her acolytes become yet another faction of gods amongst real people. Super soldiers cannot be allowed to exist."

Sam paused for a moment.

"Isn't that how gods talk?" He questioned. "And if that's how you feel, what about Bucky?"

Zemo didn't respond.

"Blood isn't always the solution." Sam added.

The door suddenly opened and closed, and Bucky walked in with Maria close behind.

"Something's not right about Walker." He said while he removed his jacket.

"You don't say." Sam sarcastically replied.

"No, seriously. He's been acting awfully strange." Maria added.

"Doesn't surprise me." Clover muttered.

"Well, I know a crazy when I see one." Bucky stated, grabbing a drink from the cabinet. "Because I am crazy."

"Can't argue with that." Sam agreed.

"I'm pretty sure the shield is inflating his ego." Clover remarked.

"Shouldn't have given him the shield." Bucky told him.

"I didn't give him the shield." Sam argued, standing up from the table.

"Well Steve definitely didn't." Bucky argued back as he took a sip of his drink.
