2016, Berlin.
Steve, wearing his uniform, made his way through an underpass, then jogged onto a private runway, heading for a grounded chopper. Before he could get there however, an electro-disabler slams onto the chopper and Steve looked up, seeing Iron Man and War Machine hoovering in the air.
"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" Stark sarcastically remarked.
"Definitely weird." Rhodey agreed.
"Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." Steve said.
T'Challa, dressed in his Black Panther costume, leaped over a truck.
"Captain..."
"Your Majesty."
"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" Tony questioned.
"You're after the wrong guy." Steve stated.
"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday." Tony said.
"And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't." Steve explained.
"Steve . . . you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?" Natasha asked, coming around the corner.
Tony didn't even wait for a response, rolling his eyes.
"All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!"
Out of nowhere, a spiderweb shot at Steve's shield, snatching it out of his hand and binding his wrists together. A younger individual, Peter Parker, landed in a nearby truck, holding the shield in his hand.
"Nice job, kid." Tony said.
"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's--it's perfect. Thank you."
"Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation." Tony interrupted him.
"Okay. Cap... Captain. Big fan, I'm Spider-Man."
"Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Just..."
"Hey, everyone."
"...Good job."
"You've been busy." Steve remarked.
"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep . . . I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart." Tony replied, annoyed.
"You did that when you signed." Steve told him.
"Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys . . . with no compunction about being impolite." Tony ordered.
Meanwhile, Clover was inside the terminal with Sam and Bucky, wearing their makeshift suit. Did they want to end up with the Winter Soldier himself? Not really, but it was part of the plan. Speaking of which, the plan was for Sam, Bucky and Clover to find a jet to get to Siberia, while Steve distracted Stark and his team. Lucky the them, it didn't take the trio too long to find one.
"We found it. Their Quinjet's in hanger five, north runway." Sam radioed Steve.
The three of them then began running as Tony's team split up.
"Got three in the terminal. Wilson, Barnes, and some other kid." Rhodey reported to Tony.
As Sam, Bucky and Clover were running through the terminal. they saw some figure crawling along the glass like a spider.
