She looked at him and then at Nate. He seemed so sweet when she was talking to him. What did Nate do to get him so furious? She made her way to her sister, who was currently freaking out. "Cassie, let's get out of here."

Lexi wanted to go home. Cassie shook her head, "I have to help him." She rushed with Maddy to help get him to the hospital. To others this seemed normal, but not to Lexi. Cassie said she needed to help him, not Maddy.

Cassie hated Nate for what he put Maddy through. What changed? Still, she couldn't let her sister go alone even if she was with Maddy and they were going in Maddy's car. She started heading along with them when she remembered her car was on the other side of the house. She headed back inside the house.

As she made her way past everyone, she noticed Fez's cabin knit sweater. She didn't know what came over her, but she grabbed it on her way out. She got in her car and sighed. "Fuck," she cursed. Lexi refused to believe the one person who payed attention to her was a bad person.

She pulled up his contact, her finger hovering over the call button. She sighed while locking her phone. Suddenly someone knocked on her car widow. She jumped at the sound but sighed in relief as she saw Rue and Jules. She rolled the widow down.

"Hey. We are sorry to do this to you, but can you give us a ride?" "Yeah, I'll text Cassie to let her know I'll meet up with her later." The girls nodded and got in the back seat. "Hey Lexi," Jules spoke up.

"Yeah," Lexi glanced at her through the mirror. "Do you like have a thing with Fezco?" Lexi hit the gas brake hard, sending them forward while the seatbelt held them back. "Wait, why is Jules asking about Fez?" Lexi glared at Jules while she held her hands up.

"It isn't like it was a fucking secret. You guys were talking and laughing on the couch the whole night." "You like Fez?!" "What? Why would you ask that," Lexi rambled on nervously.

"I was talking to him about Rue, and about Christmas. Can I not be friends with him? Rue Rue's his friend." "Yeah, because I was one of his clients and we became friends from there. Why are you friends with him?"

"I think we should leave this for another day," she said as she continued to drive to Jules' house. "Lexi, you have his sweater right there," Jules pointed out. "That is not his," Lexi insisted. "Then who's sweater is it? Because that green clashes with your outfit."

"It's mine, I thrifted it and I left it here. It's been here for a while." "Your mother hasn't taken it out?" "She hasn't used the car since Friday." The girls did not look convinced.

"Ok, maybe you girls should let me focus on the road we can take about it later." The rest of the ride was silent. They got off and thanked her for the ride and she drove off to the hospital. Lexi glanced at the sweater before continuing her drive. She should probably let him know she had his sweater.

She decided she would worry about that later. Lexi walked into the hospital and asked a nurse about Nate. The nurse pointed at her sister and friend crying, "wait over there." "Hey," she softly said, "how is he?" Maddy got up to cry on Lexi's shoulders.

"Doctors rushed him in. They won't tell us anything, I called his parents. They should be getting here soon." "I came to get Cassie. Mom's going to worry if we don't get home soon, and I thought we should get you a change of clothes."

Maddy nodded sadly while letting go of her. "No, I want to stay." Lexi was going to argue back but was interrupted by a voice. "None of you are staying," Cal said while approaching them. "I knew you were a bad influence," Martha scream at Maddy.

"I think we should all calm down, it wasn't Maddy's fault. Plus, she rushed him to the hospital." "Go home, all of you! I don't want any of you here!" Lexi dragged Cassie and Maddy out.

"He will text you as soon as he's better," Lexi assured. Maddy nodded while walking to her car. Lexi turned to her sister, "I'll let mom know what happened. So you can console Maddy." Instead of agreeing, Cassie just pushed past Lexi towards the car.

Lexi found it strange but decided not to question it and followed along. Cassie climbed into the backseat and laid down, a tear streaming down her face. Just as Lexi thought, Suze was sitting on the porch looking concerned. She wrapped her arm around her eldest daughter while bringing her in. "I heard what happened at the party, poor Nathaniel."

The next morning was quiet. Without thinking about it, Lexi grabbed Fez's sweater. She slipped it over her shoulders and was engulfed by his scent. She walked around her house with it and a pair of shorts on. It was until the next day, around 1pm, that Cassie finally got out of bed.

"Lexi, where's the fucking Tylenol?" Lexi glanced at her sister and shrugged. That's when she realized Cassie had dried up blood on her. "Is that Nate's blood on your leg? Why didn't you wash it off?"

She was concerned with her sister's behavior. Cassie couldn't speak, she didn't even notice it. She ran to the bathroom and began scrubbing her legs. "I think we should go to Maddy's," Lexi suggested. "Wait, what?"

"She was very upset when we left her last night." "I- I'm like really hungover. Maybe we should wait." Lexi looked at her weird but nodded. "Maybe at least text her?"

Lexi suggested. "Yeah, ummm I'm going back in my room."

Five days later

Lexi never texted Fez. However, what she did do was wear his sweater a lot. Her mother believed the whole thrifted story, or maybe she couldn't careless. While her sister wasn't concerned at all, lost in her own little world. Cassie laid down on her mother's lap.

"When was the last time you showered?" Suze wrinkled her nose in disgust.
