Cassie looked at the two girls in defeat. She really just wanted to help. She tried talking to them but they turned to talk to Suze. "We were going to invite you out to eat Ms Howard." "What's the occasion?"

"To talk about Maddy's birthday next week." Suze looked at her daughter, Cassie, awkwardly. "I would love to go, girls, but I got some errands to run." Suze grabbed her keys and sunglasses. "We could talk about it in the afternoon."

"Sounds great," Lexi smiled. "Have fun ms Howard!" "Be careful girls. Don't do anything I wouldn't." They all started laughing at the joke.

"Ok this time I'm actually going," she said as she walked out the door. Once she left Cassie spoke up, "are you really not doing anything with Fez?" Lexi turned to Maddy who shrugged. "Not that it's any of your business but I'm talking to him." "You can't Lexi, I don't want you to date shitty men."

"Fez isn't a shitty man, he's really sweet." "Ok, can we please talk about how you even found out? No one knew." "I saw you guys," Cassie lied. "Sure you did," Lexi laughed.

"Where did you see them?" "Theo's house," Cassie didn't know where but she guessed. "Why did you say we fucked then? If you actually saw us you would knew that we didn't do anything." "Because you were with him."

"That makes no sense." "I needed mom to think you guys did to tell you to cut it off." "Why didn't you do anything when I confronted Nathaniel?" "Wait, Nate went to visit you at the house?" "This proves you didn't see us."

"Wait, Nate went to visit you at the house?" "This is the part you choose to focus on?" "Answer the fucking question Maddy." "Damn, yes. Don't get me in trouble, Lexi already did."

"Did something happen?" "He told me he loved me, we talked for a little. Then Lexi came and scream at him." "So you guys didn't fuck or even kiss?" "No we didn't, he just told me he loved me."

Cassie looked uncomfortable with the response. Lexi stared at her sister with widen eyes. 'She's sleeping with nate. He told her,' Lexi thought. Cassie looked back at her sister in horror.

'She knows, I know she knows. I'm going to get my ass beat by Maddy right now,' she thought. "I wish I had sister telepathy," Maddy sighed. Cassie giggled nervously. "Y'all could read each other's minds."

"We are going out," Lexi said while dragging Maddy to the car. Maddy got into the car. "Ok bitch spill whatever tea I know you know." "Drive, I'll tell you once we get away." Maddy nodded while turning on the car and driving off.

Maddy had been driving on for a while. She was driving anywhere and everywhere. "Are we far enough?" They we're in a little street, no other car in sight. "Nate told Cassie," Lexi blurted out.

Maddy hit the breaks hard in response. "What?!" "Nate told Cassie about me and Fez." "Are you sure," Maddy asked as she continued driving. "Yes, no one else cares."

"You know what that means right? You are positive?" "Yes, I'm so sorry Maddy. I know it means they are sneaking around your back but-," Lexi stopped talking. She looked around not knowing where they were.

"Wait where are we going?" "I'm going to get violent if I don't fucking get high or some shit." Lexi knew what that meant. She was going to fez's store again. She felt happy but didn't want to express it.

Maddy looked mad, she was trying to keep calm but it wasn't really working. "It's ok to be happy you are going to see Fez, Lex." "Maddy I'm so sorry I had some suspicions but I wasn't sure." "You are fine, it's them who should be apologizing. Those fucking cunts," she said as she hit the steering wheel.

That made Lexi jump by surprise. Maddy parked in a parking space and hurried inside. Lexi following along worried. "Where's Fezco? Is he in the fridge," Maddy asked the guy working the register.

"No, Ash and him are done for the day here. If you want something you have to go to their house," he whispered to her. "Fuck," she groaned as she stomped towards her car. "Thank you," Lexi told the guy before rushing off after her friend. "No problem girl," the guy called out.

Maddy drove them two blocks away to Fez's apartment. "Ok, don't look at anyone directly in the eye and stay close," Maddy said while looking straight at her. "Uh ok," Lexi said nervously. "I'm just fucking with you. Come on," Maddy giggled.  Lexi followed her nervously.

Fez opened the door after he heard loud knocks. "Yo what the fuck," he said as he opened the door. Maddy was standing there, "you got any joints?" Lexi perked out from behind Maddy smiling nervously while waving. He stood surprised at the door.

"Hello, earth to lover boy," Maddy said while waving her hand in from of his face. "Oh shit, sorry my bad." He moved out of the way, widening the door. "Come on in," he said. Maddy and Lexi walked in.

"What brings you here?" "I just found out my shitty best friend is sleeping with my ex. Instead of murdering them both I decided to fucking get high. You got some joints to sell?" "Nah that's sum shitty ass news, I'll give you that shit for free."

He moved to the next room to find a joint for her and him. Maddy sat down on the couch. "Please we all know you are giving me that shit for free because I'm friends with your crush." Lexi blushed while sitting down next to Maddy. Fez came back in with two joints and a lighter.

"Yo Maddy, whatchu say?" She light up the joint while looked after her best friend who shook her head. "Nothing," she mumbled. "I have your sweater," Lexi spoke up while pulling it from her backpack. Fez grabbed the sweatshirt, "I missed this shit."

He placed it on, his smile growing.
