Her drama teacher had asked her to be the student director for their play. The play was called Oklahoma. She was debating the pros and cons when an alarm disrupted her thoughts. Her sister was up at 4am for the second time. Nate Jacobs wasn't going to notice her because he was a dick.
Her sister deserved better. She wanted to talk to her sister but each day she grew more distant and irritated in her. She also wanted to ask Rue about Fez but decided not to. She saw her sister every time during passing period against her locker looking for Nate. She was 100% convinced that Nate was the mystery guy.
She knew she should be a good friend and tell Maddy, but she also knew she should be a good sister and mind her business. 'I mean I could always pretend that I didn't know I'm sure they would believe me,' she thought. She didn't talk to Maddy about how to text Fez yesterday because Maddy had to do a last minute welcome back dance since she was a cheerleader and was on the dance team. Maddy didn't seem like the type to be involved in school but she loved both very dearly. The next day Lexi was busy talking to her teacher about the play they were doing.

That stupid alarm was starting to frustrate her so much. It was now the 4th day in a row that the alarm has either woken her up or gotten her to realize the time. She decided to ask Maddy for a ride and let Cassie go her own way. She walked down the stairs and her sister was no where to be seen. 'I wonder where she is,' Lexi thought as she walked out the front door.
As soon as she stepped in the car, Maddy started talking. They were halfway there when the topic changed once more. "Cassie's being weird huh?" Yeah she really is." 'Please don't notice I'm nervous,' she thought.
"Thank god I wasn't the only one to think something. She must have a guy in sight." "Oh really," Lexi acted surprised. "Please you have to know something." "Actually I don't know anything, she doesn't talk to me."
"Well she has to talk to someone and if it's not you or me maybe Kat?" "I don't think so, have you seen them even interact?" "That's true. How are we going to find out? If you have any suspicion let me know."
"Yes, of course I will." "Omg we could go all PI and stalk her." Lexi looked at her friends with a concerned look. "Ok, maybe we won't. It was honestly just a suggestion." They got to school and walked down the hall together.
"I love the outfit by the way," Lexi compliment. "We should get you a matching set too." "I think I'm good," Lexi joked. That's when they saw Cassie walking confidently down the hall. "Let's go say hi," Maddy said not even noticing her outfit.
Lexi did notice it and she shook her head. This is awkward and she wasn't going to deal with it right now. "I'm kind of mad at her that's why I didn't ride with her to school so I'm going to go." Lexi rushed off before Maddy could question it some more. "Hey."
"Hey," Cassie said her smiled fading and her sweating starting. That's when Maddy realized what her friend was wearing. "Wait, why are...," she trailed off not knowing how to phrase it. The two girls began slowing down their pace. "Why...," she started again but was cut off.
"Uh, my class is this way," Cassie said before rushing off. Maybe it was nothing. She was switching up her style a lot lately. No her best friend wouldn't do that. 'You need to stop thinking everything is about you' she thought.

Rue was hanging out at Fez's again. Faye was there too but this was a business meeting. He wanted to ask her about a certain brunette but she was high as fuck. They were currently sitting in perfect silence. "I'm a fuckin' genius, Fez."
Fez watched her swinging from the fridge which was currently held opened by a hungry Faye. "Is that so?" She was on drugs and would probably say nothing good. He knew she was going to say some dumbass shit. "It is fuckin' so because I came up with an amazing fuckin' plan."
"And what would that be, Rue?" "All right, so...," she cleared her voice. Oh she was being serious, this was serious. He was happy she finally was coming up with something. Hopefully she would leave the drugs before.
And maybe stick around because he got attached to her, loved her like a sister. "All you would have to do is front me, like, $5,000 worth of drugs, okay?" A dumb, very stupid little sister. His face dropped, she did not really think he was that stupid.
"And..." she started. "Hell the fuck no," he interrupted her. "Okay, well, before you say no, you kind of have to let me finish, right?" "Hell the fuck no." Rue rolled her eyes in annoyance.
Could he chill out? "Okay, why do you keep saying that?" "I did not like the way that the plan started." "Okay, well, you have to let me finish the fucking plan." "No," he argued.
"Yes. You...," she started again. "Hell the fuck no, Rue." "Fuck it, I give up. Whatever."
She walked out the kitchen into the hall before turning around. "I'll just take my fuckin' business elsewhere. It's your fuckin' loss, man." She turned to see if he would change his mind. "Hell the fuck no."
She looked upset but he didn't care it was for her own good. "Hey rue," he started off. She rushed back in, smiling. "Do you have Lexi's number?" She glared at him but pulled out her phone to pull the contact up.
"Just because I kind of ship it." He eagerly took the phone copying her number into his. "Wait is this going to be ok with her?" "I'm super sure she is ok with it." "Ask her and then I'll text her?"
