Chapter fourteen

On the way sa apartment na tinutuluyan namim ay si mama at Geoffrey ang naguusap,sumasagot lang ako kung tinatanong ako.

We got stock in the traffic na ipinagdarasal ko na sana ay umusad kaagad dahil nasosofucate ako sa sitwasyon na ito. 

"Elizabeth honey before I forgot,have you packed your things and George? Your kuya called me when I arrived he arranged a cab to pick us up and bring us to the port,we don't have much time when we arrived at the apartment"

I just sigh.

"Yes ma! Done it last night,are you okay with George? He's not a little baby anymore ma"

Nakatingin ako sa likod at kita ko sa aking peripheral vision ang paggalaw ng kanyang panga at pag buntong hininga. 

I'm not bothered now if he will recognise my son or not,cause he obviously not interested to know. What an asshole! Can't recognise his own flesh and blood? His DNA,His obviously mini me version. Can't he saw himself when he look at George? I still really can't beleive it.

"Don't worry honey,I can manage this little man here,right handsome"

George is giggling and I smiled,he's taking all my worries away. I turned around to seat properly. 

"Say lola honey,lo..la..lola"

He giggled and smiled.

"La...la...lala"

"Oh my goodness! He is so adorable, just like you and Shawn when you were George's  age"

She's reminiscing again.

"Ma!"

"I would think so Mrs.Adams"

He second the motion. Then mom asked him.

"Do you happen to have a family of your own now Geoffrey? If you don't mind me asking"

It takes a a few seconds before he answered my mom.

"I don't mind at all Mrs.Adams,....to answer your question I do not have my own family yet...but soon I think....very soon"

Nakaramdam ako ng kaba sa mga huling salita na binitawan niya. He looked calmer now but his eyes looked dangerous. I can feel my mother's gaze from behind. I can sure as hell what he meant by that.

"Not getting any younger Geoffrey and an heir to your empire should be on the way by now"

Makahulugan ang bawat salitang sinasabi ni mama at pakiramdam ko ay alam na niya ngayon na si Geoffrey ang ama ni George.

Bahagyang natawa pa ito sa sinabi ni mama.

"Sounds like my own mother Mrs.Adams,she's been pushing me to settle down"

"I can understand your mother,my son Shawn is settled for years now, but I'm waiting a grandchild from him,but look what we've got,an adorable little George,not an inch looking like his mother except for the eyes color.."

"Mama!"

Suway ko dito at baka kung ano pa ang masabi nito ay baka pagsisihan lang namin sa huli.

"Do you know him Mrs.Adams? The father of your grandchild?"

But I guess not Geoffrey is unstoppable with the issue he had put an end few days ago in his office. Why now? In front of my own mother my son? What does he want?

"Geo...."

Before I could say a word my mom speak

"No,I haven't seen him,I don't even know him,she just left the UK two years ago then a few months later I recieved a call from my son,telling me that my daughter just gave birth to a son,can you imagine my reaction? It was unexpected,so I immediately contacted their father and demanded him to flew me in this country in an instance,I can still remember her father's horror to see his only daughter on her own without the man who impregnated her,but all our worries taken away the moment little George enter the room,so adorable as ever..."

"Ma,that's too much information!"

"It was fine Lei!.."

"No! It's not!"

"I want to know you more"

There he goes again! San na naman ba tutungo ang usapan na ito? Nakakapagod na.

"You know me enough to judge me...."

"And I'm so sorry"

"That's enough now you two,if two have an unresolve problem please set it aside,at least not around this little man here, your startling George"

Natahimik kami pareho ni Geoffrey,inirapan ko siya bago binalingan ang aking anak.  Narinig ko pa ang kanyang buntong hininga.

"I'm sorry honey,mama will make it up to you as soon  as we arrive the island"

"Which island are you going?"

Mahinahon nitong tanong.

"None of your business"
