Chapter twenty four

My mind is in chaos,while watching my son sleeping in his bed. What Geoffrey told me today keeps rewinding on my mind.

"Anak!" Nalingunan ko si mama sa connecting door ng kwarto namin ng anak ko "I came to check on both of you,bakit gising ka pa? problem?"

Tumango ako sa kanya bago muling bumaling sa natutulog kong anak at hinalikan ito so noo bago iwan.

I followed mama when she walk before me,she open the door and walk outside the balcony of my room. She sat in the chair that was set in the middle of the balcony. The evening breeze helps me relax a bit,I gave out a deep heavy sigh before I sat down in front of her,who is watching my every move.

"He wanted to be a father to George"

Hindi ko alam ang opinyon ni mama dahil na rin sa hindi nito pagpapakita ng reaksyon sa aking sinabi basta lang siya nakatingin sa akin na para bang inaanalisa ang aking sinabi.

"So you told him about his son? Kaya ba niya gustong pumasok sa buhay ng anak niyo?"

I looked at her still wala pa ring reaction. Umiling ako bago tumingin sa kawalan.

"No ma,he didn't know yet...he wanted to be a part of him because he wants me back and he said he felt the connection between the two of them..."

"And now,you don't know what to do?"

Umiling ako "I don't know ma....I don't know...ang gulo na ng isip ko"

Naramdaman ko na niyakap ako ni mama mula sa gilid ko,niyakap ko din siya pabalik na mahigpit. I Started sobbing hindi ko na pinigilan dahil pakiramdam ko ay sasabog na ako sa sobrang kipkip sa mga emosyon na matagal ng nakaimbak sa aking puso.

"Anak,tahan na! Isa lang ang dapat mong gawin at alam kong alam mo iyon pero pinangungunahan ka ng takot mo at ng mga what ifs na mas lalong nagpapagulo sa isipan mo,anak,kung hindi mo ito gagawin ay mas lalo ka lang mahihirapan pati na rin ang anak mo at ang lalaking mahal mo"

Napatingala ako sa kanya dahil sa sinabi nito,nginitian niya ako ng makahulugan.

"Huwag kang magulat dahil alam ko ang nararamdaman mo sa kanya,anak kita at alam ko kung ano ang nangyayari sayo kahit hindi kapa magsabi sa akin,but now I want you to clear things up and your mind before it's too late,obvious naman na sa una magugulat siya,magagalit o may masabi pang hindi maganda pero sana anak unawain ko nalang kung ano man kahinatnat ng pwedeng mangyari,at kung hindi man maayos na natitiyak ko naman na hindi mangyayari ay narito kami ako,ang kuya mo,si Diane at ang daddy mo,wala man siya sa tabi mo isang tawag mo lang sa kanya alam mong darating siya para sayo dahil mahalaga ka sa kanya at mahal ka niya,we will always be here for you anak lagi mo iyang tatandaan,no matter what happened"

I wake up this morning with a heavy feelings but seeing my son brought a smile in my face. On the kitchen while we are having our breakfast my thoughts stop as we heard the news on the tv.

THE GREEK MILLIONAIRE GEOFFREY KAIROSINIS WITH HIS SECRET FAMILY?

Iyon ang nakatag sa screen ng tv habang nagbabalita ang isang news anchor.

"The greek businessman who is originally based in London,England and now the CEO of Planeighan system developing company was seen carrying a baby boy who is looking the same as him"

Then on the background appeared stolen photos of Geoffrey carrying George while talking to mama,there's also a picturenof us na kumakain ng lunch sinusubuan niya si George at iyong moment na nagaalala siyang nakatingin sa akin hawak ang aking kamay,there are few more photos some are blurry and unrecognizable.

"Dada!"

I heard George exclaimed when he saw the photos of him and his dada up close.

"Mr.Kairosinis is accompanied by an unknown woman and the former Ms.Universe tittlist Lizabeth Romero Adams"

They showed mama's pictures when she won the pageant and the photo of her patting Geoffrey's arm. I know that one when mama is about to leave us to go shopping for the kitchen stuff.

"A month ago the former beauty queen arrived the country and seen in the building of the said businessman,more often the passed few weeks,she will arrived in the building carrying a baby and leave the building on her own"

They are showing photos of mama outside the building,carrying George,walking out the building and many more.

"The former beauty queen is happily married to one of England's powerfull business tycoon,they have a son and a daughter who are not visible into the eye of the public people,could it be that her daughter is the unknown woman? Are they married? So many questions are left unanswered, OZ people and those who are around the world wants to know...."

I switched off the tv and look at my son who is busy eating now then I looked helpless at mama.

"Talk to him"

Inihatid ako ni mama,sa ground floor ako nagpababa dahil sa entrance pa lang ng building ay marami ng nag aabang na mga taga media. George was crying in the car when I got out,he wanted to come with me to see his father but I didn't allowed him. Not now when everything are starting to heat up,I don't want him to be affected of this issues that sorround us. He is so innocent to face this cruel reality and I know Geoffrey will do the same to protect him.

Sumakay ako sa private elevator na ginagamit lang ng mga VIP ng kompanya. Geoffrey gave me the access to do so since we came back from our weekend with my family. Pero ngayon ko lang ito gagamitin dahil ayokong may makakita sa akin dito na ibang empleyado. Security cameras are fine,they wont leak the videos.

No one is around when I reach the top floor,my destination. I didn't came in to work,so I walked pass my table,I knocked twice before I let myself inside his office. He was standing in the middle of the room looking outside his both hands inside his pockets.

"Geoff,we have to talk"

When he turned around,I can see contentment and concern on his eyes. He smiled at me and asked me to sit down.

"Of course we will talk babe"

He sat down in front of me,he looked at me in the eye. I looked away,I can't stand the way he look at me. The guilt I'm supressing is slowly breaking and I'm starting to feel nervous that is not helping at all.

"We have to talk about George" panimula ko at hindi pa rin nakatingin sa kanya "George's father...." hindi ko natapos ang sasabihin ko ng sumingit siya sa aking sinasabi.

"...is me" huh? "I am his father babe" paano niya nalaman? "Babe Lei,I will be the father for George,we don't have to talk about that guy who fathered your son" disbelief I turned and look at him,he still doesn't know.

Lumapit siya sa aking kinauupuan,pinagsalikop ang aming mga kamay at hinalikan niya ako sa labi bago muling nagsalita.

"Babe,it is all over the news,it may sounds selfish but I am happy to let the world knew about us,you,me and George our son"

Masaya ito sa kanyang ipinahayag sa akin,napakalas ako sa pagkakahawak niya sa akin. Halata ang gulat sa kanyang mukha.

"Lei?"

"Geoff,listen to me carefully"

Tumango ito,ako na mismo ang humawak sa kanyang mga kamay para pagsalikupin iyon. Tiningnan ko siya sa kanyang mga mata na may pagtataka.

"George is your real son,you are his biological father,I'm sorry! I didn't know I was pregnant when I left you"
