After All This Time

Chapter Twenty-Four

After Five said,

'She's mine.'

I stumbled a little bit, I mean, he said that I  was his. 

Five noticed that I almost fell, quickly. He teleported over to me and helped me catch my balance, "Woah, woah. You ok?"

"What? Oh! Yeah. Fine, just feeling a but faint. I'm just going to go and get some water." I nervously said before swiftly walking to the kitchen.

As I found a cup and made my way over to the sink to fill it up, I heard Five whisper something to Elliot.

"If you speak to her like that again, or are within 5 feet of her, I will kill you."  I nearly choked on my water when I heard him say that.

Even though we had only been together for 20 minutes, he had been super  flirty, and protective. Much more than when we were in 2019. Maybe it was hormones? Whatever it was, I certainly didn't mind it...

Hours and hours had went by. Nothing. Not a single buzzer or anything going off on the atmospheric radars.

It got to the point to where it was several hours past night fall.

Five and I decided to get comfy on the couch and talk, while Elliot was doing more research to see if he could find any of the others.

"So, what do you wanna do once all of this madness is over and we get back home?" I looked down at Five.

He looked up at me, his head were between my thighs as I played with his hair and massaged his scalp. I could tell at first that he didn't want to show that he was enjoying it, but he quickly gave up. He listen to the question and soft sounds of my voice as he relaxed for the first time in over 45 years.

"Hm?" 

"What do you want to do after all of this chaos is through?" I repeated, with a sweet tone. I looked down at him with awe in my eyes. Words couldn't describe how happy I was, once again.

"I've been thinking about the apocalypse for so long that... I haven't really had time to think about the day after."

"Alright, but just some things that you want to do off of the top of your head, then."

"Umm. Maybe, settle down with the girl that I like." He smirked. "Get a job, and a house. And that's all I can think of that I want for the next few years... What do you want to do?"

"Probably settle down with the boy I like... and that's all I want on my mind." I smiled down at him.

"That's all? Just to spend time with me?"

"Well... there is one other thing..." I said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear.

"What's that?"  He started rubbing my thigh as I played with his hair more.

"That's something that you'll find out later, Hargreeves." I smiled.

Just after that a bunch of alarms started going off from all of the radars.
