After All This Time

Chapter Twenty-Five

After the fight it took about 5 grown men to take Luther out of the ring and outside. I went and talked to his boss saying that we were family and would take him home. He seemed pretty pissed at the moment but he gave us Luther's address and we took him home. All of the men there were pretty confused on how we would get him to the second floor and to his room, but I told them that he would wake up in the car and be able to walk him up himself. Even though I knew he would at least be out until morning.

Five drove us to the backside of his apartment and waited outside, leaned up against the car and waited. I only promised Vanya that I would take him up to his room and then be out of there, so she would end up staying and talking to him. She was pretty confused on how a little 'kid' like me would be able to lift a 600 pound man, so I had to tell her about my powers. And more or less, she was impressed.

I jumped out of the car, looked around to see if any people were there (there weren't) and took a deep breath, a lift like him was going to take quite a bit of energy, so I had to concentrate. I lifted up my arm and pointed it towards him, focusing on lifting the man. And after a couple of seconds, he started floating in the car. I walked backwards and guided him through the back doors that Vanya had opened and took him up the stairs, and to his room. We didn't have the keys so I had to quickly unlock the door with my telekinesis and   keep Luther floating into the air. While I did that my nose started to bleed. Thankfully I set him down on his bed quickly after that.

"Hey V?"

"Yeah? What is it?"

"I'm going to wait at the car with Five. You coming or do you want to stay here for a minute?"

"I think I'll stay here." She smiled.

"Alright."

I walked out of the door, making sure to slam it shut so it would hopefully trigger Luther to wake up. And right as I was walking down the stairs I heard groaning from a man. And as I was getting to the bottom step I see Luther's boss, nearly running up the stairs.

"Oh, boy." I muttered as I walked out the back door.

As I walked to the car I see Five glancing up at me, and then back down, before he looked up again with a panicked expression.

He jogged towards me, "Are you ok?"

I looked at him confused. "Umm, yeah. Why?"

"Your nose is bleeding." Five grabbed my chin and gently wiped off the blood from my nose. "Did he hurt you?"

"What, no. Remember what happens when I use my ability?" I lifted a brow.

"Right." Five quickly turned around and walked back to the car. He must have been embarrassed

I followed "You know you can be so sweet and caring when you want to?"

He leaned up against the car again. "Only for you."

I looked back at him for a few seconds until there was a crash in front of us. Out of instinct I conjured two small power blasts in my hands, ready to fight. But I look up and I see that it was just Luther punching a hole through his wall, due to his anger issues.
